SOTD SEptember 19, 2017 A Stirling SEptember Blade: Kai Captain Mild Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk Brush: Artisan badger Lather: Stirling The Lounge Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Baker Street aftershave WTG, touch-up Great lather from The Lounge and nice results with the Black Hawk razor. Smooth and comfortable are the key words. I enjoy using the Black Hawk as it is different than both injectors and GEM-style SE razors. It provides a change of pace. Overall top notch. Have a great day!

Segal Razor Vintage Segal Blade Ever-Ready #1 Boar Brush (restored) Love My Skin Tobacco & Bay Leaf Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel Tabac After Shave Another shave and two more items to try out. Segal razor, thanks to @swarden43 and Segal blade, thanks to @Morman Bridge. Did a full three passes and got a pretty smooth BBS shave. Will eventually modify various brands of blades to try them out.
I've been looking for a Segal for some time (though I haven't really been putting much effort forth) that I can pick up pretty cheap. Aside from taking nonstandard blades, the head profile looks a lot like the Cooper MonoBilt. I am curious to see if the shave is similar, because the Cooper is one of my favorite razors to use.
They are pretty close, just I think the Segal's parts are a tad bit thicker. I've also been thinking of getting a Cooper. I need more non- Gillettes.

Razor : 1957 Gillette Super Speed Flare C1 Blade : Polsilver SI ( sixth shave) Brush : The Illuminator 25mm black badger Shaving Soap : Montague in a can Shaving Balm : Simpson After Shave : Blue Steel I decided to take a final shave on this Flare. Though it's quite the beater / rat rod of razors, it give a DFS. I wanted to make sure it was up to snuff prior to putting it in a PIF.
