Williams Wednesday Shave
Today's shave was brought to me by the following:
Razor: Schick Paul Revere edition
Brush: JR #113
Soap: Williams
Blade: Supply Provision/Personna
Today I started to get what I thought was a better lather from the Williams. At least it started looking decent in the mug. I wasn't just making a bunch of foam anyway. Once I began to lather my face, then it started to get foamy. I performed a little bit of "The Williams Slap" - if it isn't already a "thing", it is now! I lightly slapped the foam with the brush to knock the air bubbles down, and it did seem to help. It was a thin lather, but nice and slick. Three passes to a very smooth face! No weepers, nicks, cuts - zero drama. It was almost
too easy! I always feel like I'm cheating when I use this razor!
I suppose I can see why Williams is still around. I know many people like it...it is indeed slick...and it's dirt cheap. It's growing on me a little bit. I'd still like to learn how to get a proper lather from it, but the slickness is incredible. Whether or not I'd get another puck after this one is gone remains to be seen. There are just so many soaps out there, and I couldn't possibly live long enough to try them all...even if I wanted to (or could afford to!).
I don't post my shaves very often (heck - it's hard to keep up just reading the posts!), but I have been using an injector a little bit this month. Mainly I'm still focusing on my DE technique, which I'm pleased to report, has gotten much better. Hopefully the bulk of my cart habits are behind me and the shaves going forward are nice & easy!
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!!!
