SOTD SEptember 21, 2017 A Stirling SEptember Blade: GEM stainless Razor: GEM 1912 Brush: Vulfix badger Lather: Stirling Piacenza Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Piacenza aftershave WTG, touch-up 1912 today. Ended with a couple of tiny weepers just below my bottom lip but that cleared up with a cold water rinse. I have to go with the lightest touch with this razor. Longer strokes seem to work better than short 1 or 2 inch strokes. Nice shave in the end. Have a great day!
Today it is back to Gems, this time a Featherweight Deluxe. It shaves way better than any $0.98 cent razor that came with ten blades should.

Dance partner for Igor was the Clog-Pruf. Both razors performed beautifully with the carbon Blue Star, getting closer than yesterday. I preferred Igor on the beard, Clog-Pruf on my head based on handling as I'm still figuring out managing Igor's head on the top of mine. It's really a joy on the beard. Two passes plus clean ups. SOTF 9.21.2017 Pre-shave: Quick hot shower Cream: Caffeinated Shaving Cream by Pacific Shave Co. Brush: Omega Hi-Brush synthetic Razor: vintage bullet tip Micromatic Blade: Gem Stainless (5) Post-shave: Thayer's witch hazel, Gillette AS Gel, Walgreen's Cooling AS Close, comfortable shave but I've pushed this blade as far as I want to go. I retired it right after this shave. It performed well. Time to take a few days off from shaving and try a different razor on Sunday or Monday. But I'll be stopping in to see how everyone else's shaves are going. Happy shaves!
