Tuesday's SE Shave Proraso Pre Shave Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap Jayaruh #206 GEM Damaskeene CVS SE CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 badger brush. I did two passes with the GEM Damaskeene razor and a CVS SE blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Yes were talking the 1970s or early 80's. I have read there either Schick Plus Plats or Personna's from that era - and that era just destroys modern blades. Keep in mind before Amazon and Wally world - K-mart was a force and of course in the 70's injectors were actually used. There awesome blades! I got 2 magazines with 11 blades in each - they were not expensive - I Say Grab em! there are some in PLASTIC white magzines - my guess is those are persona's like the rite-aid or cvs ones from the 80's - I think what I got is from 70's and plus platinums - totally awesome shave and I love the K-mart logo. Sad the K-Mart that is near my families summer home in Fairhaven Mass has shutdown - sucks I loved that store, retro feel and NOT wal-mart. oh well...

I do the same thing - the one with the sticker I try VERY Hard to not get sticker wet when I use it rare occasion - my other the knot completely fell out - and I reknotted it with a synth and it kinda sucks :-( I also have a PIERRE CARDIN shave mug brush and soap gift set with a brush that is almost the same... I have same O.S, mug and brush but mine came with a Tack II handle and a WILKIE track II cartridge wich I read is a great vintage blade.. I really got that on a good deal for 25 bucks - my favorit old spice mug - when I use my refill pucks I like to hold the puck and lather so this big mug is great so I can just rest it in there when I want to re load brush - when puck dries I take it out of the oversized mug and store it back in box..

It may be time to change out the blade because it wasn't quite as smooth as normal. But overall a nice experience and a smooth shave in the end. Have a great day!
