Four in a row and not bored yet! A 2 pass almost perfect shave, so little clean up. Even that`s not boring. I`m actually having a lot of fun since I`ve been able to return to my `normal` shaving routine. Both passes were smooth and pretty darn close, the Brut stung like heck. God speed to one and all. happy shaving from a happy camper.

When I started this wet-shaving adventure my first soap puck was the VDH Luxury. Today I went back to my roots, and I was reminded again how much I love this scent. Not only does it smell great, it's so easy to build a soft, cushiony lather. This was the first shave with this Ever-Ready razor loaded with a new Blue Star blade. At first it seemed unremarkable.... not bad.... but not necessarily great at the time. However, afterwards... after the post-shave I realized I achieved BBS. I've been rubbing my face since in awe. I told my wife about the wonderful shave with the newly acquired SE razor. She smiled and patiently shook her head. I'm still trying to convince her to give up on the cartridges.

I read a review on Stetson that said something like "Don't be fooled by the name&image. There is not as much masculinity in it as we would like to think". That isn't the Stetson fragrance I recall.

It might be about it's original scent. Stetson Black I've been using almost since it came out. Still has the same scent to me.

Blue/Black Shaving Mug 1985
This mug is heavy pottery with a deep blue or black glaze and was sold in two different gift sets in 1985. One set included a shaving brush and razor while the other included only the brush. The only decoration is the single white ship in silhouette. I believe this may have been distributed outside the U.S. market because it is dated 1985 yet the packaging is not consistent with the 1981 logo change. The back of the box is marked "Old Spice Accessories made under license from Shulton, Inc. 1985" "Made in Taiwan R.O.C. for Cosrich Inc., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861" Dimensions: 3.25" high by 5" rim to handle.

The reason... I always get the shave that I was looking for with this razor. Maybe because I am so familiar with it.
EXCELLENT 3 pass BBS shave this morning. Still smooth as a dolphin at this hour of the day (evening).

This razor has everything going for it. Good blade exposure, moderately aggressive geometry, excellent feedback - both sound and feel.
The 4" heavyweight handle does all the work for you. The gold wash is mostly worn off in spots, but that gives it a cool vintage look. LOVE it!
I have 3 SABI DE razors - all very good tools. You can see the SABI case I got from Shave-A-Buck back in the day. Wish he was still around.

The Tri Coastal Design White Birch & Tobacco Shave Butter has an excellent cooling feel and scent that smells sooo good. What a find!
Just a great partnership with the Williams Shave Mug soap. Produces a rich, thick, face lather that protects and nourishes the skin.

The Classic Ice Blue finish gives a great cooling feel with the iconic scent from my youth.
