    Tabactober!
I might just use Tabac all month. I enjoy variety, but this stuff never fails. Just a terrific Tabacstag. I loaded the brush like there was no tomorrow and got the best shave with it so far. Tabac exploded into glorious lather, making the razor almost feel like nothing as it reduced my stubble. The aftershave provided a little sting and the balsam left my skin smooth.
    Prep: Van Yulay PSO
    Soap: Tabac
    Brush: Stirling Boar
    Razor: Rockwell 6s R6
    Blade: voskhod
    AS: Tabac splash and balsam

Excellent shave this morning. The Variant was dormant for a bit, it was awakened today from it's slumber. Yep, you see right, Gold Jay Z. What? Quickly, the Misses went out yesterday with a couple of her girlfriends and brought me back a box that said Gold Jay Z. She was uber excited stating "Babe, look what I bought you!". I said "Whaaat? I haven't heard or listened to Rap or Hip-Hop in over 20 years!" She gave me the look " This is a Fragrance set Einstein." "Oh" said I. Needless to say, the scent was very good. Fresh and clean with a nice depth to it. Definitely worth a try. Have a great one Gents.....

  12. I feel much better this morning because I had a good breakfast which I made myself. I had to end my Yom Kippur fast earlier than I wanted to because I felt dizzy and very weak and I had to be assisted when I was leaving the synagogue. I had very little to eat for supper, but I did go to sleep earlier than usual so that definitely helped me a lot.

Today's shave was very enjoyable with the Frozen Tundra soap - that lovely scent of wintergreen, peppermint, menthol, and earthy notes is such a delight, the lather was so rich, and the menthol effect was so strong. I ended up with a great three pass BBS result and the Lucky Tiger aftershave cream provided a wonderful chilly, moisturizing feeling. Finally, the Rubby Dubby Doo went on frigidly and refreshingly. The mentholated pre-shave soap which Rod makes is an unbelievable beard softener - wowwwwwwwwww, is it awesome. A new Astra in my Super Speed for tomorrow morning!

Hope you all have a nice Sunday!

  16. Nice smooth shave today. After my shave, I thought that today would be the first time I use a Feather without a single weeper. After rinsing off my brush, three little weepers appeared. Close but no cigar. Have a great week everyone.

Every time I use a GEM blade razor It always makes me wonder why do I have any other razors. Today was not an exception. Absolutely wonderful shave, super close, zero irritation and very comfortable. It's like these razors and blades were created for me. The only problem with the Heljestrand it's the size of the lather catcher that makes it a bit cumbersome using on the moustache area.

This first use of Mike's was a great one too. Easy to lather and resulting in a pretty slick, dense and with great post properties. I wish the scent was a bit more assertive but it's a good citric powdery scent nonetheless.
