Just wondering, the Tech is in the lead and others have been mentioned. So really wouldn't this make this thread dead as not everyone has agreed on one razor.
Maybe a poll with the 10 most commonly used...which will skew vintage...and some guys here have rarely tried vintage or dislike them in favor of modern...
Before his death Perry Como confided in me his favorite razor was a pre war Tech. Case.Closed. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Well, if sales volume indicates an agreement... I wonder which model of razor had the most sales in each decade? I seem to remember more Schick injector commercials in the 70's for some reason. That's the one I bought with my farm chore money when I started shaving. Gillette had a huge market share in the 20th century, so I am guessing the superspeed and the tech had the most sales. As far as today's shaving demographic, I bet the general American population, (not just on this forum), would choose a multi-blade cartridge razor over any single blade version. For us folks on this forum, I'm going to vote for the Superspeed flair tip.
I can go with Tech and Schick G. The Featherweight didn't do much for me. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
I do prefer the SS to the Tech. Especially if you can have all the varieties; 40's, flare, red tip, blue tip etc. For modern, maybe EJ89? not sure.
If you just say a Tech, I could agree. I've never tried a 34C, But a Super Speed wether 40's or a Flare is still a Super Speed and I like those also. Tech have been appreciated so much they continue to be made under many names; Feather, Ikon and to be quite honest most modern razors make their version of a Tech. That's just my opinion.
