Tonight's shave was with a nice solid Sheffield made razor. I had a nice 2 pass shave, with minor touch-ups, that left me with a DFS. Zero issues, just a solid, well built razor.

Second day of OCtober and the second day with the Old Style/Voskhod combination. I added the pre-shave routine in today with the Stirling Mentholated pre-shave soap just to see how it worked with the MWF. And, I went with the Silvertip brush as a switch from my newfound synthetic routine. I washed my face with the pre-shave soap and didn't rinse, lathering over the top of it with the Fat. Fantastic lather tonight as I got the water right on the first try. I haven't used synthetics much with the Fat but I still have the touch with the Silvertip.

Very slick first pass and the second pass was also nice and slick. Very nice feel and I was fine until I decided to do some extra diagonal work on my neck. Ended up with a small weeper on the right side. Can't push it too far with this razor or it will find blood. Still, the overall shave was very comfortable and the added little menthol kick from the pre-shave soap was a nice addition - and it is Menthol Monday, after all.

In spite of the weeper I'm calling this one BBS and loving it. One more night with the Old and I'm looking forward to a fantastic third shave with it. Final thought on the pre-shave soap - my face is incredibly soft after every shave I use it. Still not committing to a regular full-time regime with it but it is nice to add now and then.

This brush keeps getting better. Very soft today, and I didn't need to load it quite as much. Exceptional lather and three smooth and efficient passes left my skin soft and stubble defeated. Lavanille is one of my favorite scents, I could easily use it everyday.

I did it again - another beautiful BBS shave in three passes. The Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap cleaned my face, softened up my stubble, and the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo gave me tons of super-rich freezing-cold lather together with that gold medal-winning Sharp Dressed Man scent that I love so much. The Diana Menthol balm is a powerful and nice face-freezer in its own right with a lot of moisturizing and soothing. Finally, a couple of splashes of the Krampert's Frostbite aftershave and I'm ready to go!

No fuss combination today. Good budget shave! The Palmolive lathered easily and worked quite well. That was my first use with this shave stick and I enjoyed the lather quality. The post shave feel wasn't that stellar. In fact it felt fairly drying. But a good shave was had in the end.
