Tabactober 4 WSP Tobacco is a nice pairing with Tabac. The brush is very comfortable and lathers a little more quickly seemingly every day. I got a little weeper on my neck, but it's my fault for pushing this blade. I usually stick to three shaves and out and I'm reminded why. SOTN OCtober 3rd Razor: Cooper MonoBilt Blade: TianLi Super Stainless Soap: RazoRock XXX Brush: 30DCLE Post Shave: Aqua Velva Ice Sport First shave on the TianLi SS, it felt exactly like the Super Blue. A little tuggy on the first pass but delivering a near BBS after 3. To clarify a little they tuggyness I experienced wasn't pulling per se, but more of a stickyness. It felt sorta like the blade was catching the hair and then cutting through it. First use on these blades kinda reminds of a Derby, like there is a little extra coating on the edge that needs to be removed before the blade really starts to cut well. We will see how the second shave feels on each of them, I have a feeling that the tuggyness on the first pass will abate a little.
Razor = EJ DE87/Scotch & Stowe handle Blade = Gillette Silver Blue Brush = JR #85 Cream = TBS Maca Root A/S = Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Cologne = M&L Florida Water w/added menthol First of all, it's National Taco Day. Go get some cuz you know you want to. Second, the shave was smooth and comfortable, just what I needed after 2 days of not so good shaves. So, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
I love when I can pull off a shave like this one. The 1910+ French Apollo Bijou took proprietary oval shaped blades. Beautiful silver plated razors, they're cheap on the French market. After futzing with modifying a DE blade I settled on an Injector as an easier fit. Once aligned the trimmed Kai Mild blade can be well secured, and the uneven comb does not hinder performance notably. I had another razor at the ready for the head shave but ended up going all the way with the Apollo/Kai combo, marvelous BBS with no dramas. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Good Morning Everyone SOTD 10/04/17 Gillette Single Ring Wilkinson Sword (1) Erskine 3103 Boar Wiilliams Cold Water Rinse, Alum Block Pinaud Clubman A/S A Late Morning Shave For Me With A BBS Finish Have A Great Day
Today's shave was with a nice German blade. I had a super smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Excellent razor. The soap was another story. I had issues with this brand before, and contacted the maker. She sent me some samples of other soaps she had. Not impressed. No burning this time, but the Lather dissipated quickly, and the lubricity was adequate to lacking. The lubricity dissipated, the longer the lather was on the face. I tested it. I'm unsure what scent I was given, all it said was Stearic Acid. My guess would be a Sandalwood to a Barbershop scent. Razor- J.A.Henckel Brush- Stirling Boar Soap- Village Soap Smith. Barbershop/Sandalwood?? I'm just guessing. Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

RECENT SHAVES Prep: pre shave soap mix Razor: Ming Shi Future Clone Blade: Rapira Stainless Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft Soap: Perfectly Natural Grapefruit IPA Post: Mickey Lee Italian Stallion A/S milk This shave was not as close as I would have liked, plus got some irritation on the neck. This soap is the older formula from Perfectly Natural and have noticed it doesn't lather as well as their current formula, but it has a high butter content and is still a very protective soap. Lovely grapefruit scent with some beer notes in the mix, paired great with the Italian Stallion milk although the milk is more of a sweet citrus scent. Prep: pre shave soap mix Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech Blade: Rapira Stainless Brush: Razorock Plissoft Soap: Tiki Into The Forest Post: Captains Choice North balm Got a decent shave yesterday. Have been meaning to bust out the Tiki soap for a while now so Into The Forest we go. This is one of my favorite woodsy scents, very complex with the Oakmoss absolute and a list of other woodsy notes. Finished off with North balm. Prep: pre shave soap mix Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Blade: Pol-Silver Brush: Razorock Plissoft Soap: MER Shaving Duck Sauce Post: Stirling Mountain Man balm Wonderful invigorating shave this morning. The menthol from the pre shave was nice and strong, went great with the Duck Sauce scent. Great lather from the MER Shaving soap, residual slickness was good enough to do touch ups with no problems. Went with Mountain Man balm for the post shave, can still smell the fresh scent hours later. BBS shave and my face feels amazing. Hope everyone had a great shave!

Its scent is a delight, its lather is such a pleasure, and it gives a fantastic menthol punch. The Lucky Tiger balm (as I call it) prolongs the chill as well as soothes the skin so beautifully and that Arctique.......................wowwwwwwwwwwwwww, just a little dab'll do ya!
