  4. Thanks, Billy. This particular FWE is one of those early 20th century fancy razors that I tend to treat with extra care.
Same quality Solingen steel found in pretty much all the FWE shavers (I've had a few less showy models). They all seem to take a good edge with ease.

Good shave this morning. This razor reminds me alot of vintage Grelots which is a good thing. I picked up the AOS Oud from some vitamin place online for around 24-25 dollars shipped so I figured I'd give it a try. Personally I like the scent (don't ask me to describe it because I suck at it, all I can say it smells kind of spicy to me) but could see it being a bit polarizing. Performance is what you'd expect from AOS creams. I could also see some people with sensitive faces having a potential problem with this cream. Anyway, excellent shave today. Have a good one

  7. That is a very nice looking razor and brush Oscar.
  8. Even sharper than it looks Robert Williams Purist. Today the vampire did not draw any blood just an epic shave.

  9. Tonight's shave was with a French Faux Frame-Back(Rattler). I had a fantastic 2 pass shave, that went very smooth. I had a DFS with the first pass, and after the second, a BBS shave. I do like these vintage razors. Never a dull shave.

Razor- French, "Leon Pelleray". Faux Frame Back
    Brush- Omega 10066
Soap- The Village Soap Smith. Woodsy, unknown scent. Soy Wax base.
    Aftershave- Florida Water

Moonrise over the Au Sable Dunes on Lake Superior

I spent four days in the woods in the Upper Peninsula along Lake Superior. With a day’s head start and a day delay I had a nice 6 day beard going. I have my Torrey with me and planned to shave with that. Nope. For some reason, me and Torrey’s just do not get along well. With less than half a pass done I switched to the Nordic Beauty. A fantastic, stellar shave. The whisker’s fell like magic for a super close, super smooth shave. :happy036:
