Bulldog Face Wash Random badger brush from eBay Truefitt and Hill Sandalwood cream Gillette New LC Polsilver SI A little alum, and Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm First try of a blade other than Astra and I went with the Polsilver SI. Felt pretty good actually. Too little data to inform a purchase yet but they seem good. It should be all change in the next couple of weeks as my first soaps arrive tomorrow, meaning the boar will get some use, and soon I'll receive JR#168 from Jim which I am positive will see a lot of use
Boss Razor (aka Toro Mastiff), Personna 74. Geez that's a heavy handle. Very nice. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

10/9/17 Monday Razor: Gillette SS Blade: Personns Comfort Coated (2) Brush: VDH Badger Lather: Proraso Green Pre Shave: Homemade AS: Brut Splash On What a difference a shave cream makes. With the Proraso, I`m back to somewhere near a BBS, and no blood. A 2 pass, WTG/ATG, with clean ups between passes. For those who use canned shave lather, if that fits your style, then more power to you, I have nothing against that. Proraso just seems to fit my face better, and I like whipping up a lather with a brush. For me, the razor just skimmed along smoothly like it`s supposed to. Happy camper here, wishing good shaves for all, God Bless. Bill

SOTD 10.9.2017 Pre-shave: coffee, hot shower & Shave Secret Soap: Williams Mug + Head Slick Mentholated Shave Cream Razor: vintage Probak (3rd shave in a row) Blade: German Wilkinson Sword (6) Brush: Marvy boar Post-shave: Thayer's Lavender WH, Nivea Men Sensitive Cooling Balm, Skin Bracer Last week I did a mix of Williams and Head Slick cream and really liked the results. I had to do it again and this mixture provided a creamy, pleasant, skin-friendly, slick lather. I'll be mixing these two again many times in the future. This was my third shave with the Probak and the 6th with the Wilkinson blade. Since I haven't shaved for 72 hours I discovered this blade wasn't "cutting" it very well. I love Wilkinson blades, but since my face stubble was heavier and this blade had already seen a lot of shave action it was time to change it out. I didn't even get through a single pass and I reached for a new blade. I went for my open pack of $1 DE blades (from either Family Dollar or Dollar General) made in Vietnam. I hadn't used these for months since I've acquired better blades. But I need to get these used up as well. I've had both good and questionable blades in these packs. Today, I got a good blade. The end result after 2 full passes, and a clean up pass on the neck was a very close, comfortable shave... nearly baby smooth but I'm not ready to call that. Happy shaving, everyone! This was a terrific mix of soap and cream.... my face still feels magnificent!
Soak It In Alcohol Then Use Some Dish Soap And A Stiff Bristle Brush It Worked For Me But Of Course YMMV!
