We're enjoying some beautiful sunshine and cooler temps here in my neck of the woods today. Have a blessed day!
MONDAY SHAVE Prep: pre shave soap mix Razor: Gillette Redtip Blade: Bolzano Brush: Razorock Plissoft Soap: Phoenix & Beau Sanskrit Post: Lucky Tiger, Van Yulay Tobacco Poloverion balm Very nice shave yesterday. Haven't used the Sanskrit in a while, this is one of the older tubs and is hard enough to load directly from the tub. Managed to get a thick lather and the spicy scent of Sanskrit filled the den, could even smell it hours later which was cool. Finished off with Van Yulay Tobacco Poloverion balm, I have a mild reaction to something in this balm but it smells so nice that I use it anyways, it has a spicy carmel tobacco type of scent. TUESDAY'S SHAVE Prep: Musgo Real Classic Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Blade: Gillette Rubie (1st shave) Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft Soap: Grooming Dept Aether Post: Proraso Green balm, Tommy Hillfiger EDT Epic shave this morning. Grooming Dept soaps have rose to the top of my preferered soaps. Performance is out of this world, and the scent if Aether is mesmorizing. I pick up the fennel and a bit of mint but it blends well with the other notes to make a clean fresh scent that has depth and complexity. Left a little bit of lather on face and rubbed it in the skin after the shave. Got a smooth irritation free shave, but not quite BBS. Finished off with Tommy and a dab of Proraso balm. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!
That's a really cool story, thanks for sharing. It is good to keep traditions and do things in memory of lost loved ones. On a side note, that MER Barbershop is some decent stuff, a very unique boosy barbershop scent.
Van Yulay - Chupacabra Wolf Whiskers | Raptor | Black Wolf Ever-Ready SE | Gem PTFE (1) I'm not sure I want to smell like a chupacabra because the fragrances I associate with it are wet cat, musk, dried blood, and castoreum. Fortunately, Van Yulay's Chupacabra is intended to transport you to said creature's stomping grounds. Chupacabra opens with a soft apple note, and I have no idea where I'm getting that because it's not in the documented notes. The apple actually sustains throughout the shave but relents to nondescript woody notes leaning towards oakmoss. Bitter citrus makes a brief presence before ultimately succumbing to a spicier and darker amber accord with hints of clove and finally a vanilla-esque muskiness. Overall, this is a nice weighty fragrance for the cooler season.

I still ended up with a decent DFS that looks smooth.
Thank you sir! Indeed it is and it lathers and shaves wonderfully! I absolutely dig it and I know it's no big deal to most, but I superlather Cremo into everything from Proraso Red to Williams for that extra slick and haven't done so at all with the MER!
