  1. I’m a traditionalist that would love to see it in gold.
  2. John, You can get samples of Stirling products, including soaps and ASs at canadianbladeco without worrying about international shipping. They have Stirling bath products as well, just not sure if they are available as samples or not.
  3. Wow! Just wow!
  4. I’m afraid that one’s over my head. A quick google search landed me on a basketball player. Or do you mean the Disney character?
  5. I got mine on eBay from fragrance.net
  6. Today I am two hours away from home in a sales meeting. Since everyone at the meeting works for me, there was no reason to get up and be clean-shaven. Accordingly, I just shaved for the day. Another successful run with a straight for the first pass, and a DE cleanup for the next two. Slowly but surely I am working my way towards the dark side.
  7. Walgreens will often have gift sets with EdT and AS. I have also seen it at CVS, but in their fragrance case, not the AS section.
  8. Friday shave:

I bought this razor when it first came out and paid $40, I think. Clever design and is fun to use. Technique wins again, an epic shave.

  9. Thanks for the tip. I hadn't even thought of looking there.
  10. Thank you, gentlemen! I am very pleased with how they turned out. The improvement in both the appearance and the function of these formerly ratty razors is remarkable.

Instead of using my injectors for the rest of October, I think I will be using these. The truly tough test will be No Variation November when I will have to stop playing with two of them....
  11. Great picture, Keith!

Razor - Matthew the Haunted New Deluxe SC
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Pre-shave - Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Soap - Stirling Electric Sheep
Brush - Jayaruh #54 Inaugural Shave
    Post - Alum

I couldn't wait to get home today after I saw I had a new toy waiting on the USPS website. They delivered the Jayaruh #54 today and I spent the rest of the day pacing to try and make the time pass faster. I have to say not only am I not disappointed, I'm beyond happy with this brush. Unbelievable grain in the wood, great contrast of wood colors, the craftsmanship is impeccable.....it's beyond perfect. The Maggard Synthetic knot doesn't hurt anything either. Thanks @Jayaruh for allow me to adopt this one. He will have a good home and help keep #46 company!

I put #54 right into the fray with Electric Sheep over the pre-shave soap. The brush feels fantastic in my hand. I love the style of the 400 and it really handles well. No problem to come up with enough lather for a couple of nights of shaving. The shave itself was 2 passes and touch up and yet another BBS. Matthew is showing off since he has an appointment in December for a new finish. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and votes. I've decided what I'm going to do with him but I'll let it be a surprise. As well as this razor performs with the Voskhod it needs to be redone and given another hundred years of life!

Friday at last. It has certainly been a long week her at the old homestead. The CH2 Synthetic, aka the "Soap Destroyer" is living up to its name with the Reef Point Test Depth. More importantly the CH2 whips up mountains of rich slick lather. Using the Reef Point every other day has allowed me to fully appreciate the ease of lather and slickness. Sticking with a traditional 3 pass routine followed by touch ups along the jaw line had the baby in sight. I decided to add an additional pass on my lower right neck reeled the little guy in. A splash of witch hazel with menthol followed by a splash of Agua Balsamica has me feeling and smelling good. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.

  17. Wonderful picture, Clint! How is your daughter feeling?
  18. Thank you Jim and thanks for asking about Maya. She is doing much better. The nausea is pretty much gone and so far we have been able to stay ahead of the pain. Best yet she is able to move around the house without any issues. I left her this morning camped out on the sofa with her leg up streaming a Netflix movie. :)
  19. That's good news. I always found the third day after the surgery was the turning point. I'll keep praying for her recovery.
