Thank you very much Guy. This brush is a winner. FYI I have been using TW 3 D print bowls this month and I have found I able to get a good lather whether I go clock wise or counter clock wise.
Saturday's Straight/OC Shave Proraso Pre Shave Jeff's Soap Shaving Soap Jayaruh #227 Dubl Duck 5/8 Old Type by Tom Gillette Silver Blue CWR Thayer's Peach WH Pinaud Vanilla I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Jeff's Soap Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #227 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gillette New Deluxe Tuckaway razor and Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Yeah, each razor takes a different blade and when you find the right pairing, sometimes that changes, so you have to start all over. My Gillette SS has changed a couple times, if I don`t use it pretty often. I have used the Wilkinson several times, but I have yet to find the blade that I like in it. I really like how mild it is, so I`ve been moving up to sharper blades, but I have to be careful because of my tremors. Bill
Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired, and honed razor. I had a very nice 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. Very nice razor. Razor- Crown and Sword, Non-Plus Ultra. Brush- B400 By Tom( @twhite ) Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

OCtober!!! October 20 Razor - Matthew the Haunted New Deluxe SC Blade - (4) Pre-shave - Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Soap - Stirling Electric Sheep Brush - 30 DC LE Post - Alum I extended this setup for one additional night mostly because I got started late and just decided it was good enough to go again. Besides, the 30DC LE brush got bumped last night in favor of the JR54 so it needed its turn. Voskhod easily goes 4+ shaves so no worries there. The Tuxedo knot in the LE brush is excellent in its own right and whipped up a great Electric Sheep lather on top of the pre-shave. I started to switch out to Scots Pine Sheep just for a slight change but once I gave it a sniff I put it down in favor of the high voltage mutton. Nothing wrong with it, I just prefer the Electric. Two passes and touch ups and it's a very near BBS. I didn't work at it quite as much as the previous three shaves but still got very close to the baby. The NEW Deluxe SC and Voskhod are an awesome combo. Tomorrow - it's time for a couple of days of some challenging shaves. I'll take on @BearCWY 's challenge tomorrow night. Depending how that goes I may give it two nights. Following his challenge I'll be on to the Durham Duplex razor or razors. With a slight twist. Hope your weekend is a great one!

SOTD 10/20/2017 RAZOR: Pacific Quality Stainless DE Razor (Handle) BLADE: Pacific Double Edge blade - 3rd shave with this razor & blade PREP: hot water shower with Dove Men+Care Oil Control bar soap, followed by hot water rinse PRESHAVE: bloom water from Williams Mug SOAP: Williams Mug Shave Soap- face lather MUG: Vintage Old Spice Shave Mug BRUSH: Ever Ready 200T POST SHAVE: hot water rinse AFTER SHAVE: Blue Steel (hybrid Aqua Velva / Murray & Lanman Florida Water) BALM: NONE NEEDED I achieved a total BBS this morning with this cheap razor and blade. Very nice cushion, slickness, and moisture from the Williams. I really enjoyed this smooth, efficient 3 pass shave. Just goes to show that you don't need to spend a lot of money to enjoy this hobby of traditional shaving. If you haven't tried it yet... JUMP on in... the waters FINE!
