Saturday shave: Shaved a few hours later than usual and that usual leads to a nicer shave, today was no exception. The lather was very very wet and slick. The edge very smooth and still sharp despite have allot of shaves on it. Four passes to an epic shave, have a great weekend everyone. Sunday Shave Plan: Leaving on a jet plane tomorrow and I am getting up early. It will be a long flight so I am posing my shave 'plan.' R41 with Iridium Super (2), 30DC LE brush, QCS cream and Houbigant Fogère Royal
Another day, another shave, another first pass with the straight. No mishaps, and getting better every time. Still have to stop and think about/adjust blade angle from time to time, but It’s starting to get easier knowing when I’m dialed in and when I’m not. Cologne Russe sample is still going strong. I’m not sure it’s a scent I’ll be adding to the stable, but as with all B&M scents, I enjoy and appreciate the complexity.
OCtober 21, 2017 Wolfman Ti OC (0.74 blade gap) Personna 74 (6) WDC-8 with Druida Manchurian Fine L’Orange Noir Soap and Aftershave A very good three pass shave this morning. Everything just worked so well together. The Fine L'Orange Noir is one of my favorite Fine scents. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
My three favorite Fine scents in no particular order are L'Orange Noir, Platinum, and Fresh Vetiver. The order of preference seems to change with my mood.
I hope the Fine Fresh Vetiver is better than that which is in L&L Grooming Marshlands. But after all, fresh means just that, right?
Fine has two vetiver scents, Fresh and Green. The Fresh has a smoky earthy scent to my nose. I have never tried the Green Vetiver so I can't comment on the scent.
Jim I do not mind at all. The razor I did was GunKote. It sprays on as a liquid. It will go everywhere. If you do not want the coating in or on something. It is as simple as masking it off, or plug the hole. The same holds true for Powder Coat. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
