  3. Another day, another shave, another first pass with the straight. No mishaps, and getting better every time. Still have to stop and think about/adjust blade angle from time to time, but It’s starting to get easier knowing when I’m dialed in and when I’m not. Cologne Russe sample is still going strong. I’m not sure it’s a scent I’ll be adding to the stable, but as with all B&M scents, I enjoy and appreciate the complexity.
  4. Not a good shave from me this morning. Missed some areas I usually get.

Fine L’Orange Noir Soap and Aftershave

A very good three pass shave this morning. Everything just worked so well together. The Fine L'Orange Noir is one of my favorite Fine scents. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
  6. Many members appear to like that as their favorite Fine, I've noticed.
  7. My three favorite Fine scents in no particular order are L'Orange Noir, Platinum, and Fresh Vetiver. The order of preference seems to change with my mood.
  8. I think Tom did a Gunkote, but I'm not sure it's a good comparison since he did a 3pc, not a TTO.
  9. I hope the Fine Fresh Vetiver is better than that which is in L&L Grooming Marshlands. But after all, fresh means just that, right?
  10. There’s that beautiful brush again, Keith. Phenomenal.
    Safe travels!
  11. Fine has two vetiver scents, Fresh and Green. The Fresh has a smoky earthy scent to my nose. I have never tried the Green Vetiver so I can't comment on the scent.

I do not mind at all. The razor I did was GunKote. It sprays on as a liquid. It will go everywhere. If you do not want the coating in or on something. It is as simple as masking it off, or plug the hole. The same holds true for Powder Coat.

  13. I'll have to get the Fine Fresh. Sounds interesting. Thanks.
  14. Randy, it's great to hear from you. I hope all is well at Baskin-Robbins.

  15. Travel safe Keith!
  16. Scooping as fast as I can, Fred! You want sprinkles on that?
  17. Cool. You have almost earned your cookies
  18. :thanks:
  19. This was my last shave with Eye-Gore and I’m a little bummed to be sending him in. If I ever had to quit using straights I would be happy to have this razor in my den. I am dolphin smooth this morning after three easy passes.

    Mike's Natural Soap - unscented
Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, Alt-Innsbruck Aftershave, and Aramis EDT

I enjoyed a relaxed two-pass shave on this beautiful Saturday morning. Mike's Natural Soap is the slickest and most skin friendly soap in my den. After my unscented bar is used up, I have a Hungarian Lavender scented bar ready to go. I finished today with Alt-Innsbruck and Aramis. They pair well, as they both have tobacco scents. You have to go easy, though, as they can both be strong.

My Bride and I have tickets to see "A Murder is Announced" at our local dinner theatre this evening. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
