Thanks to Jim @Jayaruh's generosity on his 70th birthday, I am now the proud owner of two brushes from Jayaruh Shaving. Nos. 161 & 231 are firmly ensconced in my den...
Congrats @jason koonce !! You're going to love that brush! Welcome to the club (and to traditional wet shaving)!
Thank you guys for the warm welcome to the club. And it is a beautiful brush. I can’t wait to get it and try it out.
I love things made of wood. Nowadays many items that used to be made of wood are made out of synthetic material. Sometimes this is a good thing that is needed and makes our life easier, but not in every instance. I’ve always liked brushes with wood handles, especially ones that were individually handmade. It’s nice to know you have a one of a kind brush that reflects the craftsman’s skill and design. I’d like to thank a very generous gentleman for providing me with just such an item; JR 135. Thank you Jim, Alan
That brush has a great knot and a cool handle. From what I remember it has a 40033 Omega knot and I've used an Omega 40033 brush for over two years and it only get better over time. I think it's a 24mm. Congrats @jason koonce on a super brush!
They made it today! I was like a kid in the candy shop when I saw the box on the counter. Great way to end a long hard day. They made for a very pleasant shave, even though I normally use a straight. The brush is so soft and smooth to lather with. Great feel to the handle of the razor.
Well guys, Here is JR #28 in action... It arrived quickly in the mail and I used it this morning. It looks even better in person and lathered amazingly with my Arko. Jim is a really nice guy and I'm very thankful to have stumbled onto his blog. JR #28 will be loved. It was nice of him to add the USAF medal/coin as per my request. I'm sure I'll be adopting more brushes in the future... . Thanks again! Josh Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
Been using JR#231 for the last three days. Here's today's Wool Fat Wednesday shave... Every time I use it, this pops into my head....
I can't believe nobody beat me to these! They are gorgeous! @Jayaruh , you should definitely do some more similar to these.
