Thank you. I am a sucker for the barber pole razors. I have two now, this Aristocrat and an Aristocrat #66. Definitely the best looking razors I have, IMO.
I thought I had my RAD under control, too. I am still debating whether to try a NB18. After the wonderful success I had with NB17, I am not sure I want to set myself up for failure again.
It is, They where manufactured in the 1930's. Even though they rarely come up they always go for relativity low prices. This snippet is from Waits Compendium:
My wife is now much more accepting of my purchases since they don't come out of the family budget. It also helps when I spend some of the proceeds on her too!
Me trying to do a NB is like signing up for failure. @Boojum1 can attest that I easily talk myself out of buying most razors I consider. Soaps I have partially under control and the inventory has gone down. I will make a bigger dent in the soaps next year. Brushes are my downfall. I honestly don't have many if any that I don't like using. If Simpson were to make the CH2 Synthetic is some other colors I would add to the collection in a minute.
