  1. Chatillon Lux is such great AS, it seems like you win by getting the consolation prize.
  2. I've never heard of the Ericsson before, Andrew. Is it a vintage razor?

  4. Nice razor, Andrew. Have your tried other Sandalwood soaps?

  5. Sounds like we have the beginnings of a support (or enabling) group.
  6. Great photo and great looking razor Andrew.
  7. Ah, but you have a store to fund your ADs.:signs107:
  8. It is, They where manufactured in the 1930's. Even though they rarely come up they always go for relativity low prices. This snippet is from Waits Compendium:

    Thanks, Clint!

  11. My wife is now much more accepting of my purchases since they don't come out of the family budget. It also helps when I spend some of the proceeds on her too!

  13. Me trying to do a NB is like signing up for failure. @Boojum1 can attest that I easily talk myself out of buying most razors I consider. Soaps I have partially under control and the inventory has gone down. I will make a bigger dent in the soaps next year. Brushes are my downfall. I honestly don't have many if any that I don't like using. If Simpson were to make the CH2 Synthetic is some other colors I would add to the collection in a minute.
  14. Do you give lessons?
  15. Thank you! I believe the razor was NOS when I got it.
  16. That sounds like fun!
  17. I haven't picked up a shotgun in probably 15 years. I doubt I would be much help.

Try Vintage Williams. It's much better.

Thanks Clint! When Tom sent me a B-400 with three ferrules a Tuxedo was my first choice. You set me up with my best badger knot - a Whipped Dog High Mountain. Tom did a solid engineering job with the replica Rubberset 400. Then he improved it by including a thinner walled ferrule for oversized knots. That's why I bought a new Omega #10098 and used the new knot for my third easy swapable component

Same here, different reasons. When I work hard I sleep hard, or wake up wondering why I hurt.
New client with a couple projects had me working to impress. Everything flowed so I got in under my projected hours. She referred me to a friend of hers, so more opportunities available. I'm getting too old for rough physical work. Having multiple projects to accept or decline is good.

Thanks Jason! The bottle is vintage but I have no idea the original contents. I look for no chips in the glass and a screw top is a must. Corks or rubber plugs not so much. From a quart jar of saved up caps the Pinaud fit the threads and seals well.

Thanks Andrew! Start of the month I polished it up. Raw brass patina is taking over. One day I might have it plated and I'm thinking nickle.

  20. A little bit of turtle wax will slow the patina after polishing if you want to keep the shiny raw metal look going
