Only one change from today for tomorrow's shave: A.S.-Rise Cooling Balm ("New" yet "Trusted Since The 50s"). ** **-I think I can finally make some sense as to why they make their contradiction-Rise never had, A.S. balm before(new)and there is A LITTLE BIT of the original scent known and loved since the 50's. (I say, get the WHOLE original scent in there!).
'48 - '50 Gillette Aristocrat Razor Israeli Personna SS Blade Frank Shaving Boar Brush Klar Shave Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel Aqua Velva Musk After Shave Even though I have only used this razor a few times, it is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The shaves it has produced is about par with my favorite, the Fatboy at settings of 5 or 6. Of course, the Klar soap most likely had a hand in it also. Today was no exception, as my shave was excellent with two passes and just a hint of touch up under my chin for a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.
Second shave with what is/may be/could be a Philips Philite. Significant exposure makes this efficient and pretty aggressive I like it. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Sunday's SE Shave Proraso Pre Shave Colgate Mug Shaving Soap Jayaruh #229 Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Original Gem Cutlery SE CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #229 synthetic brush. I did the two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher and vintage Gem Jr. blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor: Gillette 1930's OC Ball End Made in Canada Blade: Personna Tungsten 74 (18) Brush: Elite Razor Tres Amigo w/ Sunset Synthetic Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Private Study A/S: Floid Amber A great week of shaving with these products. I probably could get another shave or two out of this blade, however, I'm changing razors tomorrow and the Personna 74 won't fit.
Today's shave was with a nice American made razor. I had a buttery smooth 2 pass shave, that gave me BDBS results. Excellent razor. This one is a solid well built razor. Razor- Union Cutlery Razor Co. Union City GA. Brush- B400 By Tom Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented Aftershave- Family Dollar "Spicy".

My wife hosted a baby shower for a niece today. Being the dutiful husband I am, I helped her get the house ready then I disappeared for the day. That is... I left. I did go on a hunt and found somethings but I'll post that in the next day or two. As far as this shave went it was great! I can declare I achieved BBS this time around. Usually, I have trouble with the neck stubble but I got it this time!

OCtober!!! October 28 Razor - Gem Micromatic Open Comb Blade - (3) Pre-Shave - Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap from Stirling Soap - Tabac Brush - Jayaruh #46 Post - Alum Final shave for the MMOC this month and it's an excellent finish. Again, the alum was quiet, whether due to no pressure or the pre-shave or both. DFS finish and a smooth shave from start to finish. No complaints at all. I'm glad I got my hands on this razor for this month. It's a great addition to my limited SE collection and a great addition on its own right as well! Tomorrow night I'll go to the granddaddy of them all in my collection, the 1918 Old Style and I'll even throw a Feather in for the final three shaves. Let's go aggressive all the way on our way to NOVember!
