Smooth, reliable, nimble, and always comfortable. My home base razor. Have a great day!
Lady Eversharp - type k2 First shave ever - I ejected the blank dummy blade and loaded a Late 70's (maybe early 80s?) schick super chromium - what a awesome shave - this razors hande and the way the head is angled - its a little longer than a Golden 500 and the k1 lady razors - really has great balance with the metal end - I have a pink and blue version of this razor - and they were both new razors when acquired - what a great shave - its not really used or spoken about - so I say get one!!!!! lady eversharp!!! with metal and - they rule!
Today's Shave 10.28.2017 Pre-shave: Hot water Shave cream: Barbasol Sensitive Skin travel can http://theshaveden.com/forums/threa...m-travel-can-experiment-sensitive-skin.57755/ Razor: Schick G1 Blade: Schick (3) Post-shave: Dickinson WH, Nivea Sensitive PS Balm, Skin Bracer AS Very late shave today. My wife hosted a baby shower for a niece today. Being the dutiful husband I am, I helped her get the house ready then I disappeared for the day. That is... I left. I did go on a hunt and found somethings but I'll post that in the next day or two. As far as this shave went it was great! I can declare I achieved BBS this time around. Usually, I have trouble with the neck stubble but I got it this time!
Sunday's SE Shave Proraso Pre Shave Colgate Mug Shaving Soap Jayaruh #229 Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Original Gem Cutlery SE CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #229 synthetic brush. I did the two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher and vintage Gem Jr. blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
There were seven vintage Gem Junior Cutlery blades that came with my Gem Jr. Lather Catcher. Tom, @twhite, offered to hone them for me. He did a fine job. I just strop them before and after my shave.

28 OCtober +1 Shave Pre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 28mm Faux Finest Badger, Frank Shaving(FS) Soap: La Toja Stick Soap Razor: Valet VC2, Autostrop Blade: Feather FAS-10 Carbon Steel(CS), Feather Seikan (9) Strop: Amish made Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse and Oland After Shave, Avon, Pheasant Decanter Photo: I went back to the Valet razor on Saturday and will continue to use it for the remainder of the month. Luckily for me the month only has a couple more days. I got the La Toja soap from a recommendation from a gentlemen across the street at TOST and picked it up about a week ago when I ordered some artist blades for my General Razor. It is a harder soap than Arko but produces a very thick lather just like Arko. Stropped the blades 15 more times before the shave than did 3 passes with the razor. Finished off a DFS shave with some Oland AS. The blade still shows no signs of decline with +1 shaves than the non-stropped blade. Stropped the blade another 10 more times than hung it up for the next shave.
10/29/17 - Lady EverSharp with the Vintage Super Chromium on 2nd shave- ZERO irritation - Great shaver - the blades from the 70s are so great - really love them and happy to have stock pile of various blades - I still need some Dutch Schicks

This is shave #15 and it still hasn't showed signs it is about to give up. I watched the Minnesota / Cleveland game this morning then took a quick shower and then shaved. It was a DFS too. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Mon 30th October Alu. General / ES Handle & Feather Pro [ 3] Have been constantly changing handles on the Alu General, todays choice seemed to achieve good balance. Am convinced that a Feather Pro suits the Razor especially when using the luxuriant lather provided by the L`Occitane cream. A really good shave with a very good close finish, though perhaps not as good as I can attain with some heavier Razors.

Stropped the blade fifteen then did a three pass shave that left me with a DFS. Finished of with some Veg and stropping the blade another fifteen times for tomorrows shave.

Tues 31st October After Shaves with Injectors and Modern SE [ AC blades] it was interesting to return to a Vintage SE. I chose one of my Favourites a "Streamline". I find it hard to believe that folk find it unwieldy and overly aggressive, they must have got the angle wrong. I had a most satisfying Shave, easy and smooth with a quite Stirling overall finish. To be honest as good if not better than many of the Shaves I have had recently. Though I have not tried a Modern Gem /SE I have my doubts that they Shave any better than this Razor.
