  1. I applaud your recognition of my poor application of the English language. It was a sorry showing and needed a correction from a wise Sage. I am in no way inclined to engage in a no-shave. That should have said that I the 30DC brush will be the one non-variable in my November setup. It will not be difficult, as I really enjoy it. I am considering doing a no-variation with my MMOC following admirable shaves with it yesterday and today. Soaps will vary freely and often, as will aftershaves.

  2. Technically, yes. :happy097:
  3. Speaking of matching handles and bowls...
    Great photo, Clint!
Yikes! Hope everything is ok 'south of the border'...
That Weber head looks very similar to the EJ head, Charlie. Do you own both?
So which of the 8 is your favourite injector, Perry?
Nice photo! Sounds like the MWF will be a keeper after all, Brian.
  4. I have developed a rather favorable opinion of my QShave. I'll be interested to see your thoughts on it.

  5. Probably the Schick G1. It was my first injector and is still the smoothest razor I own.

  7. By 'everyone', you mean Brian and I?:eatdrink047:
I'll probably make a couple more in awhile.
  8. Thank you Jason. :happy088:
  9. Thank you, Gentleman. Good point, Andrew. I already added quite a bit more load time and it looked like there was a lot of product on the brush. The artisan recommends blooming, and I don't really ever see the need to do it. However, given the rather weak looking lather, I might give it a go.
A week where I have to work too hard for lather and that will be that for this soap.
  10. Thank you, Andrew!
  11. It is now. Luckily, nobody was at the sinks in the locker room when it happened. They may have witnessed a funny dance for a few minutes.
  12. That is actually quite plausible.

I don't see where the Ming Shi MP-036 blades are made. Next shave (3rd) to be done at a higher setting with the Personna Lab Blue as per The Neal Protocol of Adjustable Razors. I will try the OEM blades once I get the razor dialed in.

These blades arrive without cellophane seal, but with double paper wrappers. That avoids the spot of wax/glue to hold the paper closed. Nice gold foil on the outer package. Front photo (upper left) shows a diamond with the words "Super White Blades".

We shall collaborate, Sir! Worst case depending on the whims of shipping from where ever you other stuff is coming from you may end up with a No Variation NOVember.
  16. Sounds great, Jason! In return, I'll contact "the right folks" here so that we don't build that border wall between Canada and the U.S. Rest assured, that all incoming shaving supplies to your county will not cease.

    Full disclosure:
    1. I'm sometimes prone to overstatement.
    2. I don't bowl lather, so one of your beautiful bowls would be wasted on me. I just like to pull your leg a bit. I'll move off the bowl jokes shortly once I think of something else to kid you about. :)

    Enjoy your day. :happy088:
  17. So today shave not so good lol I got my next a couple times. Was on such a good start to. Today would be 7th shave I’m pretty sure it was when I was going ATG

  18. How often are you replacing your blade ?

  19. Jason, I used to shave with a Muhle R89 (similar to the EJ). I believe the Weber has more blade exposure. Coupled with the additional weight, it is more aggressive than an EJ. The Weber is a very nice shaver, particularly if you have a light touch.

I wish you could still purchase Weber razors. It was my first SS razor, and it was priced very fairly. I've heard there were some manufacturing issues with some of the heads, but mine seems OK.
  20. Andrew, thanks for the kind words!
