Interesting Shulton/Proctor & Gamble Old Spice, 1993. This was the year that P&G bought out Shulton and took them over. they started to monkey with the formula. It smells very much like the traditional Shulton formula, but just ever so slightly different. The back of the Bottles have both company names, and 1993 on them. The box says 1995. So, I consider this the "Transition Year", for Old Spice, and the beginning of the end, of the fantastic scent.
Here is a little seen Avon aftershave/talc bottle. "Avon Calling 1905" Wild Country the Aftershave is in the body of the phone, and the Talc is in the earpiece.
Here is one, I don't see too often. It's an Avon "Gavel Decanter" 5 oz, "Island Lime" scented. I've tried it, and it is different from the Shulton Fresh Lime aftershave, in that it smells like it has Musk added. Definitely a stronger scented aftershave. Avon Gavel Decanter, Island Lime.
Here is an Old Spice, not seen often. It says Toilet Water, but it is the exact scent of the Aftershaves, and Lotions by Shulton. It just happens to be a little more concentrated. That's a good thing. Shulton Old Spice. "Early American Old Spice", Toilet Water.
Here are two that just came in. I needed a refill on some Spicy, and the other one came along for the ride. Both NOS. Total with shipping, $16.07. Top: Avon Spicy. Electric Charger Bottom: Wild Country. Model "A"
Very cool collection. I have an Avon Spicy on its way to me now, that I've never seen before. I'll post it when it arrives. I also have a Shulton Lime Old Spice, that is also on its way, in a cool decanter.
I think I figured out what was in the Train mug ... Windjammer. It has hints of Brute ... I hate Brute.
Out of all that, I only got one Avon Spicy (boxed Pipe Full), but I shouldn't complain, I got two full vintage Old Spice.
