  1. Wonderful picture, Perry!
Drygulch, wristwatchb, PLAla and 2 others like this.
  2. Another beautiful picture, Jason!
  3. What a gorgeous brush, Doug!
    The never-ending story Arko
    Another meh Chinese blade.
Congrats on the epic shave and edge, Keith!
Another fantastic photo of that combo, Clint!
    Stunning photo, Charlie!
I've applied the leftover lather with Stirling and Route 66 and it works great!
    Cool razor, Brian!
Too bad this soap is giving you such difficulties Jason. I've read other positive reviews of it.
  4. Beautiful gear, Doug. The wood is spectacular in that handle. Interesting, though, that the wood is joined on the end grain. That is not usually very stable. Given the quality of the workmanship, I wonder if the maker used a small hidden dowel or such to join the wood. Just stunning!
  5. Great photos of some very nice gear, Gentlemen.
  6. The quality of the soap in terms of slickness and post-shave is really quite good, Andrew. It is the lack of volumous lather that is the issue. I guess I'm just not used to working overly hard for lather.
  7. Thank you both. I'm going to have to work a little harder to take different photos of the same gear with this NOV going on.
  8. Thank you Andrew. It would be really hard to take a bad picture with this combo.

    Thank you Jason.
  9. Thought you might find this interesting

    RazoRock Mamba
    GSB
    Ever-Ready H40
    Arko
    Myrsol Aqua De Limon

I had my first shave with the Mamba last night and no better way to christen a new razor then with Arko and a GSB. Fabulous design on this razor and the fit and finish are impeccable. This razor is definitely on the mild side but offers a little more of an angle window then the Baby Smooth. The head design pretty much takes the guess work out of finding the angle and after that its just a matter of fine tuning. The weight of the stainless steel, the slickness of Arko, and the sharpness of the GSB really made for an effortless shave. After 3 passes I had a DFS which I'm sure will be upgraded to a BBS once I get this razor dialed in a bit more. Have a great weekend my friends!

    Is it Friday already?

  11. Great gear photo and another fantastic proud papa pic, Andrew.
  12. Thanks for finding that, Andrew. I don't often watch shaving videos, but this was worthwhile. Watched about 10 minutes of it and it sounds like he has very similar thoughts to this soap as I do. He got a better looking lather than I did, but did spend a considerable amount of time getting to it. He also admits to needing to reload between passes, which I did not do. We both agree that it is an incredibly slick soap with a very nice post-shave feel.
  13. Thank you, Jason

  14. He's really growing fast. Before you know it he will be asking you to go driving with him and his learner's license...
  15. Thanks John, He is starting to crawl and my wife and I aren't ready for that, and neither is our house. It seems like there is always something new and something that we need to do because of it. It sure is a fun time though.
  16. Life's too short to shave with mediocre soap.

Try a super lather? A dollop of COBigelow or Cremo might boost it to shiny and chrome.
  17. Great picture and write up on the Mamba.

He is growing so much and always seems so happy.

I can remember that stage. It can get a little crazy. The little ones can move faster than you can imagine. :D
  18. Thanks Clint.
That's what we are afraid of!
  19. Well I know which twin I am.
  20. Agreed. I'll try my best for the NOV week with it, and then probably au revoir et bon voyage Prohibition Style. Ironically, I got it in a trade from Florida, but it is made about 4 hours from here in Alberta.
