  1. Thanks very much Charlie. I like the Nuavia soap very much. The scent fills the bathroom and it whips into a great lather.

  2. Great picture Brian. Colors are excellent.
  3. Some great pictures, Andrew!
You'll be surprised at how many times you aren't ready for something new he starts doing. And, if you have more kids, it will be the same with them.:)
  4. Thank you, Jim!

  5. Thanks Jim, we are finding this out more and more every day!
  6. Thank you both!

    :thanks:

  7. Well, shorty, it looks like we're in agreement. :happy102:

  8. It was either that or baldy.
  9. Thanks guys. I appreciate the info. Connaught Shaving appears to have the best price. I may give it a shot.

  10. They grow fast don’t they. I got some amazing Halloween pictures of my grandson and can’t believe how much he has grown in four months.

  11. Connaughts had the best price on my current puck of Mitchell's Wool Fat. The soap with the ceramic dish with international shipping was way cheaper than anywhere in the US.
  12. Let's see some pics Brian!
  13. Oh no! I could never be so insensitive. To show you how nice I am, I will PIF you one of my favorite...uh...er...hats. It will make your head feel great again! :D

  14. NOVember and a New-to-me blade

    TSS/Ginger's Garden Acqua Di Florida
B-400 by @twhite; Tuxedo synth knot
Osaka Suribachi bowl and cool water
Ming Shi 2000S & Gillette Nacet blade
Alum, Osage Rub, M&L Florida Water

Well, our South Coast Winter is over. Bright sunny partly cloudy at 81° F. Feels like Florida so with that to Inspire my Focus I whipped up a tallow lather. Dropped a fresh blade in the Clone. Keeping with the FLA theme a gator chopping Nacet made it's debut in my den, thanks to Andrew @Linuxguile and a sampler tuck.

There's a proper orientation when clicking the cap in place. Two little dots (far left) mark the far side opposed to the raised bump (far right) for releasing the cap. Otherwise blade alignment may be affected. The inner workings do hold the blade in correct alignment.
Lather applied, razor refreshed, I set deviated from The Neal Protocol & the adjustable function to 3-1/2. Three passes and clean ups, with some Ming Shi Slides I'm satisfied. These blades are functional. I found the need to invent a new pass on my outer, lower lip. Usually an upward stroke does the deed. This razor has a large cap with downward turned flanges that cover the end of the blade. A careful set down and a downward stroke removed stubble that I'd missed on precious shaves.
Alum was silent, Osage splashed on cool, and Florida Water brought the scent. A DFS with no errors.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

(Jason @jtspartan - This and other similar scented soaps make a good match to the AS/Cologne!)

  15. The Nacet is a winner for me, Rick. I've been investigating wide soap tubs and jars. What size is the tub on this one ?
  16. Thanks, Rick. I'm also thinking it will be a good match for my tub of Gin and Tonic as well, actually. Glad to hear you're liking the Nacets. You can still get them on sale for $9 right now at IB.
  17. Clint, I'm really loading the brush with soap now, and it produces plenty of lather between what's in the knot and the thick lather I leave behind on the puck. I just wasn't loading it enough. It's even easier to load the brush with cream.

It has become a fun brush to use, and I can see why so many folks like the Simpson Chubby.
  18. Jason, great photo and set up today! It's hard to beat an EJ 89! I haven't tried one loaded with a smooth Russion blade, but I'm sure it is a delight to use.

Before you give up on the shave soap, you might try it as a shave stick. If grating the soap and pressing it into a shave stick is too much trouble, you can simply rub the puck on your face and go straight into a face lather. This made all the difference for me when using MWF. But anytime I flat out just don't like a shave soap, I will just use it for a pre-shave soap.
  19. Gingers Garden flip top screw off.gif
Two answers. Depends if you use the flip top feature (2-7/8"), or screw the cap off (3-5/16") like most tubs. Check with Irena @soapbuddy - she is Ginger's Garden. Don't know if the tubs are a Trade Secret.
  20. Andrew, excellent photo! Some time back, I did a showdown between Arko and MdC. Aside from the Arko scent, I think it performs better than the MdC.

Great to see our Little 30DC Man approves!
