I had a bit of luck the other day ,three razors in one auction ,ebay ,the pic was very bad but I took a punt the blades were a W&B Greaves & Son and a pipe, all the scales were toast ,but it was the blades I was interested in ,the pipe was binned but the W&B is a 5/8 special and is restored and the greaves is an 8/8 wedge with french writing on the blade ,never seen it before ,will post pics later ,oh its been restored, any one heard of this before Kind regards Peter PS TALK ABOUT PICKY
Allow me to be persnickety and say that THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT REASONABLE PUNCTUATION! Okay, I'm better now . . . :ashamed001
The Greaves' blade marking just means 'barbers razor' and is obviously a French export. Nice blade, though.
work in progress the liner is brass ,the end caps are nickle / silver the next section is MOP, I haven't made up my mind on the center as yet. Kind regards Peter
