All it is for is Moisturizing and Healing and if that is what you need then this is what you get! The sent smells like an old folks home to me but some like it.
The scent dries down to a powdery scent. Nothing like an old folks home. It does what it was made to do...it heals your skin. Not something I use everyday, but during the winter, I go through a number of bottles. St. Croix
Blast from the Past Ingredients Water, Glycerin, SD Alcohol 40, Sodium Calcium Alginate, Oleyl Sarcosine, Methylparaben, Guar Gum, Triethanolamine, Calcium Sulfate, Fragrance, Calcium Chloride, Fumaric Acid, and Boric Acid Back in the day I used this as a ASB and then got away from it. It absorbs quickly and is lightly moisturizing. Not crazy about the smell but it does not last very long. Ive been using it on my hands consistently for over a year now and will continue to do so. That said.... I feel this has a place in my post shave collection and will continue to experiment with it until I have an acceptable summer "skin food". Summer '07 UPDATE: Now an integral part of my routine. RNB SummerSalve recipe: 2 parts Corn Huskers lotion 2 parts Aloe Vera gel 1 part Witch Hazel 3 drops Melaleuca oil
I use a few drops of Corn Huskers after drying my freshly shaved face, followed by the use of Pinaud's after shave. I find that one of the effects of the Corn Huskers base is to diminish the burning sensation that accompanies the Clubman's application. Corn Huskers is one of those "old reliables" that are effective and easy to replenish. John
I'm a Believer A couple months ago, whilst meandering through the local Walmart thinking "I'm gonna by something for the shave cave" I came upon CHL. I had heard others elsewhere talking about it, and dug the old school look of the bottle so I decided to give it a go. I'm very glad I did as it turns out. This stuff is the ticket after a rough shave, it's soothing and moisturizing, not greasy and has a mild, very fleeting scent. The price can't be beat and it's available almost anywhere, I've since seen it in the skin care section of several local supermarkets as well. It's not flashy or trendy but it really is a great and very reliable product.
