Hi todays SOTD- Hardware- Parker 87R TTO. Persona Platinum Chrome blade. Chi-Comm Silvertip brush. Software- Trumpers GFT shave cream. Pinaud Clubman as splash. Nivea post shave balm, (pictured, but not used. ) Today's shave went fairly well even though I'm having a difficult day. It is nice that amidst trials and tribulations, a good shave, can make me feel better. A lot of the time the wondrous scents and performance of quality shave creams and soaps is all a person has that is enjoyable in a day. Today is one of those days. But, at least I had a good shave. November 6,2017 Monday Razor: Personna Flexhead Blade: Gillette Twinjector (13) Pre Shave: Homemade Brush: VDH Badger Lather: Proraso Green AS: Aqua Velva Musk Having problems with the new time, wish they would leave it alone, I can`t see that much benefit, anyway I received another great shave. I was going to try something different today, but everything revolves around whether my meds calm my tremors or not, I felt like I needed the flex again today so I`ll try again tomorrow. The Twinjector blade is like the pink bunny(just keeps on going) A 2 pass, WTG/ATG with clean ups between each pass seems to be the procedure that works best for this combination. I'm amazed with this really inexpensive razor/blade and the quality of the shaves it gives. 2 passes and a very little bit of touch up and I'm BBS! Anyway, my face is happy and I'm ready to go. Tuesday's shave, in sentence form: I'll be featuring Stoylin Barbershop and Clubman-it will open with Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(Energy)in the shower, then proceed to the Barbershop soap, slathered on with my Stoylin "li'l brudder" synthetic brush. I go to my usual Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE razor for presumably 2 passes, then will finish off with a cold water rinse and Clubman Original A.S.
I had a wonderful shave with the RazoRock Ti Baby Smooth, used a Polsilver SI blade (2). The blue soaps is very easy to lather, the blue aftershave is awesome.
For Tuesday morning: Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed+Astra day 2 Mickey Lee Paradise Frost SS Lucky Tiger AS Cream Italian Barber Amici AS Splash Givenchy Gentleman EdT I'll be going sort of easy with the menthol for this shave - the Paradise Frost is a lovely soap with a mild cooling effect. The Amici is also great, but it's not a face-freezer.
