Easy, thick, slick, lather. ASCO Red Box still in the Black Handle Super Speed. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Stirling Gentleman w/Menthol aftershave. Bob

+1! It's a well built blade holder. I'm holding at setting 4-1/2 as I improve my technique. Getting better reductions each time I use it. For folks that like adjustable DE's I think it's worth the investment. Three blades I've used; Personna Lab Blue, Gillette Nacet, and currently Astra SP. By the end of this month I suspect as long as it isn't defective I'll get great service from most any blade.

I think I will find a way to incorporate this soap and fragrance into my green shave set. I might buy the Florentine Fern Aftershave as it blends very well with the 1872 scent without clashing or changing it.
Blended razor (EJ DE87/Scotch&Stowe) Astra SP blade WD Synthetic brush TBS Maca Root SC Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Colorado Sage cologne I used to call the "Blended razor" a frankenrazor but there has been some discussion what a frankenrazor really is. So Blended it is. And it works well for me, got a smooth, comfortable, close shave today. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks
