I had to pack up my shave Den in order to show the house. It is embarrassing to realize just how much I have amassed. Here it is packed up
My sister and I had to do some "preperations to get our(Mom's)house ready to be shown..I mean, more than the usual stuff. And when she and her husband moved, she brought her cats over to me so the house could be "cleaner" and the cats wouldn't go nuts when things would be moved., It was nice having her cats .
Ditto. I can't wait to find out a few. I'll be making at least a couple of purchased. I finished mine today. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
NOVember!!! November 18 - Qshave Focus Razor - Qshave Futur Clone Blade - (2) Soap - Stirling Ozark Mountain Brush - Stirling Synthetic Post - Alum First of all, what a great day. FINALLY a day full of people walking through the door, with money available, looking to put it in my pocket. I'll take more of those, please and thank you. I was looking forward to a great shave tonight to finish the day right. In order to help that great shave take place I chose Stirling Ozark Mountain soap and their big Pro Synthetic brush. Fantastic scent and lather and with the Qshave on setting "me" and the Israeli Red in for the second day all looked great. And, all was fantastic through the first pass. Great smooth feel, good reduction and then.....at the start of the second pass.....I heard a "click" as I came across on the XTG. Hmmmmm. Seemed to be working all right. Looked ok. Just that "click". So, I finished the right side, switched to the left, started the stroke and "click". What the........ I looked at the razor again, rinsed it, checked it, then grabbed the cap. Hmmmmm. Some wobble in the head of the razor. I could wobble it up and down from end to end and from side to side. What in the world? I dialed it back to 1 and it seemed to stop. Dialed it back to 6 and it was a bit wobbly again if I played with it. Well, let's see what happens. Started again on the left and "click". Ok, now I'm paranoid. I finished the pass at a nice DFS but no extra work for the baby. Let's get rinsed off and take a look. I took the cap off and the blade out. No apparent damage to anything. Reassembled it, snapped the cap into place and it seemed firm. Don't see anything broken or out of place. A couple of working theories. First, I had really heated the razor under the running hot water to get that good hot feel on the second pass. Perhaps a reaction to the heat? Second, there is a bit of a film forming inside and underneath the blade rest. Maybe the tolerances are close enough that the blade sitting on just that amount of soap film is enough to torque upwards on the cap. My plan - clean the razor good and give it a go tomorrow. I'll try it hot like it was tonight and if it holds together I'll assume I discovered the problem. Hey @RyX - anything like that happen with your Ming Shi? Inquiring minds want to know!
I think a PIF would be a better solution: The house is cleaned up, you don't have to worry about moving it and you get buy new stuff when you are in your new house. PS: I am happy to cover this shipping to Seoul.
