More stunning shots, Gentlemen! Don't move straight razor sideways on face... ok, got it. Great pic, though!
November 20, 2017 Razor: Schick E2 Injector Blade: Schick Proline B (1) Brush 30DC LE/Pure Badger Cream: KMF fragrance-free Post: Alum, Listerine, WH It was a crazy weekends no shaves until this morning. With three days of growth, it was time for the big gun: the Schick E2. This is my first time using the E2 with a Proline blade. A couple of people have raved about the combo, though, so it was time to give it a try. So far this month, I've been mostly using razors from around WWII, so this is keeping with the theme. And the shave? The E2 and Proline is definitely sharp. I accidentally set it down wrong near an ear and worried I'd be doing a van Gogh imitation. Fortunately, although I felt the edge, there was no blood. Overall was a BBS with no issues except for a mild tingle from the Alum. USPS assures me that my Rubie Stainless blades will arrive today. I'm not sure if the holiday rush has already hit or if this is coming via some strange service level, but it usually doesn't take this long for packages to get from Trenton to Brick. Tomorrow should be interesting.
Thanks, Jason. I knew somebody on here would have an answer. I will give those a try and let everyone know how they are.
Much appreciated, Gentlemen. I agree with you on the ratio, Clint. It is definitely a 'one off' not to get a great lather with Tabac.
Great shot, Jason. I've never tried these but I'm pretty sure PAA has a coffee scented splash. Depending how "off the path" you want to get, Tallow and Steel Maya has chocolate & coffee notes, as does B&M Leviathon. These two are more complex scents which include other elements, and may or may not fit the bill for you.
I'm not sure if he has a splash for it yet, but @Jeeves of Hudson Street has a new scent called Abyss that includes Chocolate and Rose. I should have a sample this week.
SOTD November 20, 2017 Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: GEM stainless Razor: GEM Pushbutton Brush: Omega Hi synthetic Lather: Country Club Cahaba Blues Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Tobacco Bay Leaf aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, XTG Top notch shave today after not shaving yesterday. The Pushbutton mowed the stubble down easily and efficiently. I really love this Cahaba Blues soap. It was made by Country Club for Men in Birmingham but I don't think he's making this soap any longer, or making any soap. He's recently returned with some aftershaves though. Anyway, top notch results. I'm in Mobile, Alabama for the week for Thanksgiving at my in-laws. I included a little local flair with some wrought iron in the background of the photo. We're going out for a big seafood platter here in a few minutes. Have a great day everyone!
The @Jeeves of Hudson Street aftershaves are terrific. Good menthol blast and silky face feel with compelling scents. The Abyss scent sounds terrific.
