I shaved with the Agar tonight. Rod really built a nice scent with that one. I think I will try a sample of the AS and see if it gets spousal approval.

 

In your video, I hope you'll be saying, "This is just like Shulton, baby!!"

Many indications are that it is quite like the original. That's what prompted me to strongly consider it for NB18.

 

Stirling Spice does sound nice. Hey, I'm a poet - don't ya know it? Lolllll

 

Like I said before my shave felt like I left the MITA soap in the freezer overnight. Oh wait, did I see the word "Glacial" written on the container? No wonder I froze so much!

Reminds me, when I said earlier I might use Wintergreen Saturday, it's a Glacial, of course.

 

Has anyone tried Coconut Lime? I'd be getting the splash to go with a Mike's coconut soap that I have. The Mike's soap is not a sweet coconut scent at all.

 

I have the soap. More coconut than lime, a little sweet, but not much. Not sugary, just coconutty. Maybe reminds a guy of a pina colada or sun tanning oil a little bit. It fit really well with Iced Pineapple. I like it a lot, and it is probably my wife’s favorite.

 

Thanks, Jared. That sounds right up the alley for the Mike's Coconut. It reminds me of old school tanning oil. Sounds like they would be a good match!

 

Update: Mountain Man body soap is winding down. It has yet to break in half, but it's close. 4 weeks of use is a good ballpark for me. on the bath soap. Granted, my bars usually sit around for of month and cure before I use them.

Interestingly, I watched a YouTube video of Rod's old shop. In it he mentions the wrapper for the soap is breathable to allow it to cure while wrapped. Makes sense to me...and seems to work.

So mail call today. This is what the wife ordered a few days ago. My son wanted the Christmas Eve set. So she got him the soap and balm. She meant to get the splash but got the balm instead. At least we will get to see what the balm is like now. She ordered the Frankincense & Myrh for me. She forgot to get the matching aftershave, lol. And then the body butter and pumpkin spice lotion and bar soaps are for her and my daughter. They threw in the Eucalyptus sample I believe. Are great scents that all 4 of us will enjoy.
