Clint. I've made it this far so I'll go the whole distance. I don't think I would do a rule again for the whole package. I am, however, getting very good at whipping up this soap into an amazing lather quickly. Lots of fun.
Thank you, Charlie! Due to TOVember, it will be a few days before I give it a go again, but I'll be happy to report back on it.
I did a rule when the 30 day thread started. My one and only time with a rule for the whole package. How long to you anticipate the blade lasting?
If I remember correctly the last time I used a Personna Tungsten 74 I got about 28 shaves and I changed the blade as I wanted to use a SE. I'll use this blade until I can't use it anymore. We will just have to wait and see. I also have to admit that while watching a CFL playoff game on Sunday and having a few beers I purchased a new scuttle. Should be here Thursday.
Seems that adult beverages lead to spontaneous purchases. That about sums up how I ended up with the order from PAA.
How about Pre de Provence, Klar's and Gold Dachs soaps? There's also Martin de Candre although the shipping cost makes that one painful. Then there's MWF from the UK. And the creams and soaps from the old-line companies D.R.Harris, Geo.F.Trumper, Cyril R. Salter and TOBS. I've only ever used their creams but those are all good. Simpsons creams perform very well. The Cafe Latte scent is great; I can let you know about the others this week.
It's here! My ivory-handled Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic brush arrived today! I see what people mean about a densely packed knot. Tomorrow I will continue testing Simpsons creams using a Simpsons brush. (No sign yet of my @Vlasta Shaving Cream Challenge parcel...)
