Great picture, Keith. Does the BK8 have the same face feel as the 12, only a little smaller, or is it a whole different thing?
December 3 Plan Weber SS Astra SP (3) Simpson Chubby 2 Super MdC shave soap Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Alt-Innsbruck aftershave The Astra SP was smooth on day three. I enjoyed a decadent MdC shave this morning, and I'm off to start my day. I hope everyone has a blessed Sunday.
-Schick E -Simpson Beaufort Pure -Stirling Port au Prince The Schick is a razor I don’t use all that often, but has to go down as one of my all time favorites. Couple that with a big bowl of sheep soap, and I ended up a smooooooth dude.
Great lineup Mark. What is the Small Batch Shave Tonic like? Great lineup Charlie. I bet the Soap Destroyer made mountains of lather with the MdC Wonderful setup and photo Jared.

Very similar on a smaller scale, but this is still a very large brush. It has hooked tips and feels just a bit softer than the BK12 when wet. I have owned the BK8 much longer and maybe it is just broken in. Both brushes are excellent but the BK12 is just comically large, perfect for a 7 pass shave. I wouldn’t part with either brush.
I so agree with the “comically large”. Bloomed at over four inches in diameter, it isn’t a brush you can just grab your little jar of Tabac, load for thirty seconds and have a face lather before work. It requires ALP. (Alternative Lathering Practices) I do seriously love the thing tho. I have never used a brush like it.
