  1. Great setup Rick.

    Beautiful Kami

Great setup. Soap Commander also delivers a huge amount of soap in a giant container.

Another automatic great shave this morning. All the elements are playing well together with a 3 pass near perfect shave. The splash of Captain's Choice Bay Rum was just the ticket on a cool damp morning. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

  3. Great photo & setup!

That razor looks very industrial & minimalist - and downright cool!

Great photo & gear Adam! How do you like the Stephan AS, even before the menthol (I'm assuming that you put the menthol in?)?

You aren't kidding it's lively. I ran out for a few errands yesterday morning and when I got back, five more pages of posts appeared. Great setup - especially the brush!

    DECember 6 SOTD:

    Razorock Plissoft Brush
Jeeves of Hudson St Bay Rum
    Gillette Diplomat
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Clubman VI Bay Rum AS

I wanted a second shave with this soap, so I packed it up in my gym kit along with the Diplomat. Two passes, just a little clean up, and I am BBS. This soap really is nice. Slick, and as Rick mentioned, it has a nice residual slickness. The scent is great, and I cam actually detect.it for a while after the shave. The Clubman VI is definitely a different Bay Rum scent, and dominates, but just under that I can get the soap, and it blends nicely in my opinion. Thanks again @Drygulch, that was very kind of you!

I hope everyone has a great day!

  19. You guys and your pics! Just enforces the reason I don't post pics - I'm not worthy!! :smiley respect:

    Wednesday

    Prep: Hot shower
    Coffee: Wegmans Traditional Medium, black
    Tunes: Pandora Shuffle
Soap: VDH Deluxe* + 2 drops Em's Place Woodstock EO
    Brush: The Dridecker
    Razor: NEW
Blade: Super-Max Blue Plus**, day 3, 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse, Dickenson's WH + 1 drop Em's Woodstock EO, hand strop blade and drop into next razor
Moustache Maintenance: Dirigo Blue 'Stache Stuff, Dirigo Blue 'Stache Wax

*My opinion, best bang for the buck when it comes to a shave soap. Yeah, Arko is cheaper, and the lather is fantastic, but I'm not crazy about the scent. Williams is also cheaper, and..., uh... it's cheaper.

**Three weepers. Now I know why I don't buy this blade. We'll see tomorrow. Maybe I was getting a bit too aggressive with the razor.

  20. SOTD December 6, 2017

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick L5 'Revere' injector
    Brush: JR boar
    Lather: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Scots Pine aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Easy, smooth, comfortable, etc. Fine shave with this setup. The Revere works quite well and is fun to use. The sheep base for the Scots Pine is terrific. Superb all around.

Yep, this thread is moving fast! Keeping up is part of the fun. Have a great day!
