Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired, restored, and honed razor. I had a great 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. This thing holds such a sharp edge, the ATG pass was even buttery smooth, and I hate ATG passes. At least I do, if the razor isn't at its best. Zero issues, just smoothness, all around. Saturday Straights' Shave Proraso Pre Shave Palmolive Shave Cream Oscar11 synthetic Rocket 5/8 CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Aqua Velva Musk I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Palmolive Shave Cream face-lathered well with the Oscar11 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Rocket 5/8 and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

5/8 Case Red Imp TOBS Sandalwood SS Omega Boar (big knot) I took this blade back to a Queer Creek and worked it back up through my black Arkansas. Excellent shave this morning.. No real surprise but I have much better luck dropping down in grit and working my way up to my finisher rather than using the black Arkansas for just trying touching up a blade. I have another arky I want to try as a finisher. It's kinda hard to tell what it is but a hard white (my guess) but the stone is so old it appears to be grey. Have a good one.
