How do you know this thread is on fire? When it takes you ten minutes to hunt back to your previous post to copy/paste the intro and you find at least a dozen posts you missed, including the high rise trailer park. I need to set aside a bit more time to read here....there are some GEMS on this thread!
Second day of Toggle Time and I'm ready to go.
@LOOT mentioned today that he doesn't usually mess with the Gillette Adjustables on 1 like I did last night and I completely understand. After doing blade trials I even tossed out setting 2 as being too mild to give good data in most cases. However, if I'm going to truly test this razor I want to try it all. Besides, the more reasons I have to use it the longer I can hang onto it, right? So, up one notch to 2 tonight. Not expecting the baby but we'll see how much it improves after last night's near miss on the first setting.
Soap for tonight was T&H 1805. This is a rather thirsty British soap so I opted for the big Stirling synthetic to bring lots of water to the party. I wasn't disappointed. Nice thick lather and that very nice scent and the shave was on. Three full passes and I have a very nice DFS. Nothing over the top spectacular but a much better finish than last night. We'll get serious about shaving tomorrow when we dial up to 3. One advantage to these mild settings - very quiet alum. Nothing at all.
Hope you have a great weekend ahead of you!
