  2. Thank you Clint! Much appreciated!

Very crisp photo of a great looking FB. Is it original or replated?

  4. Thank you!! I believe it's original. It's one of two Fat Boys that I got at an estate auction. I think the guy was a collector - of just about everything. Knives, lighters, razors, tools, pottery, the list goes on and on. It was a good day for me!
  5. Beautiful picture of fine young man Brian.

  6. @Linuxguile and @mrchick -- great photos of our future members!

Other than that, a huge lot of great shave descriptions and photos posted this morning, gentlemen! Crisp pictures with some great b+w and filter effects. I don’t think even Shavette Fu could find anything to criticize in today's offerings!
  7. Thank you, John!

    Pre-shave: hot shower
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: VDH Deluxe
Razor: Ming Shi set at #5.5
    Blade: Wilkinson-Sword (5)
Post-shave: Assured WH (Dollar Tree), Aqua Velva Sensitive Skin PS Balm, Aqua Velva Musk AS / Cologne

I've noticed to step away from this thread, even for a couple of hours, means to fall way behind not only in reviewing the posts illustrating the daily shaves, the hardware and software used, the excellent photos of the gear (and the cute kids!), the support and advice everyone gives to one another... this place flows fast, like the Rapids. I'm trying to hang on so I don't fall overboard! But I do have to say... in reading through all of the posts these past days has been fun. All of you guys are topnotch in your photos, and presentations, and you're an inspiration for others. Thanks!

I hadn't shaved for a couple of days so I had some growth to whisk away. The Ming Shi, set at 5.5, provided plenty of audible feedback and after three primary passes, and a clean-up pass on the neck I found the baby again!

I've got one more day to use this Ming Shi. It's max. setting is 6. After that I'll rotate one of my Gillette adjustables into the fray.

I hope all of you have a terrific weekend!

  16. I agree Andrew. VDH makes an excellent soap. I like the Deluxe, and I love the scent of the Luxury soap.
  17. Thank you, Charlie. I'm quite proud of her artistic talent. I don't have that ability, but I'll show off hers.
