    - G Lutters 5/8
    - Vie Long Horse/Badger Hybrid
    - Barrister and Mann Lavanille

A really, really close shave with the newly honed Lutters, but not a very smooth one. I finished it on film following a Shapton 12K, and not sure if I did too many laps on film, or if perhaps I am still getting used to my new strop. I have been using a paddle almost exclusively for the last several months, and this new hanger has a different feel. I know I didn’t damage the edge, because it was super sharp, but maybe I didn’t do it any good either.

The Vie Long Hybrid is a new brush, Gifts and Care had a really good price on it during Black Friday, and curiosity grabbed ahold. What it feels like is a very good pure badger, but with more backbone than any pure I have ever tried, even my Duke 3, which is a pretty darn good brush. Very very close to a good Best, but with that occasional prickle of a pure. It may or may not mellow out with use, as I have found some horses tend to do. If it does, it could be a really good brush.

  17. I understand it to be moving the razor at a sideways angle while pulling downward at the same time. It is not something I do on purpose, but I think as I got more proficient in general, it just sort of started happening. I assume very similar to the scything motion done with a straight.
  18. @wchnu will be happy to explain to other likers what I'm talkinabout, unless you were listening to our exchange yesterday :).
  19. Top rope kinda guy you know! (I already gotta CT :p)

That is kinda what I thought. Thanks!

They probably need to read it themselves.
