My first ever straight shave. Probably a reckless thing to do but I cleaned up the German Admirals razor I found today, stropped it a bit on a belt and went to work, SLOWLY. Had 5 days growth; three passes later I'm DFS+ with no issues apart from some irritation from scrapes, but practice should do away with. Felt like I was shaving with a pretty bad carbon (which I was) but it was just within the realm of serviceable. Very carefully dried the razor when done. If it performed this well straight out of an antique shop, I'd like to get it honed by someone who knows what they're doing and see just how nicely it can shave me. Followed up with witch hazel and Lucky Tiger, I feel fine but really want some Skin Bracer.
