We all look at razors that are expensive. Maybe you've even bought one. This listing is a little more expensive than average and it borders on ridiculous...
I noticed a Schick Krona recently that was listed at $250. I thought the decimal was misplaced and it should have been $25.
I have a Marbles Bowie knife that has been laying around here for 20 years. While farfing around on eBay I saw the same knife sell for $460. Might try to sell it.
Whilst that Razor is Way Over the Typical Price for Wade & Butchers its Not Uncommon for these Bigger Blade Wade & Butchers Which are Popular & they have a Populist Kinda Following Like Say.. MWF Soap..I have Honed Many Wade & Butchers & Whilst they are Good Shavers I have Never had an Incline to Keep One Yet.. These Big Blade W & B are Rarely Seen in the UK as they were Largely Made Specifically for the Richer Folks in the USA in Comparison to the UK at this Time..The Wade & Butcher Company in Sheffield was Largely Funded by Private USA Cooperate Interests..The Up Shot of that is that there are Many Less Well Known NOS Sheffield Razor Brands that are Superior Shavers in My Books Selling for a Handful of Dollars Particularity in the UK.. Billy..
Crazy !! ... and yes i was bidding on this and thought my $70 bid would have a chance LOL, the last couple minutes the bidding went crazy
Razors are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. That is as long as they are not misguided on their general value. $750 would buy a lot of top quality vintage or new straight razors.
I recently purchased a scuttle, and while shopping ( ran across this one. I sent a message asking of the posted price was a typo. I never received a response, so I bought another for $10.50. eBay can be a comical place....
Not really P.T.Barnum but who cares? It’s accurate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There's_a_sucker_born_every_minute
