I have a Bostonian from Canada, same type of razor, and I like the way it shaves. Pretty much my favorite Gillette Open Comb razor, the weight helps.
Just arrived this side of the pond, Thanks to David @Linuxguile who supplied me with this quite rare Schick Type F. Could well be my Birth Year Razor loaded with Schick Proline Type B blade.
Not a big haul, but I needed something to store my new RazoRock Blue Fougere Shaving soap, these hold 4oz, I'll fill one up and give it to my son.
My main Shave today was with a Streamline, but I had a few sneaky strokes with the Type F. Those who use it and big it up are not wrong. Compared with the money I have paid for a S/S the Type F is a bargain.
Stopped at a local antique shop...again. I've found razors here, but they've always been overpriced. Today I found a broken Gem, Jr in a plastic case for $30...nope. Then I saw something shiny for $15...a Cooper Minobilt. It's clean and the mechanism works just fine. Herm
Very nice! That’s a bargain for sure. @PLANofMAN had an excellent thread going on the monobuilt last year.
Any mini Rubberset fans in attendance this evening? I stopped to check out a worn Boker and stumbled on this. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
It's up to Fortune & Chance. You put yourself in right place in a timely manner. Considering the path the razor took to become yours it's nearly Destiny. The good news is if you don't like it you brought it into safe keeping and will easily find it a nice home.
