  1. Thanks. Still packing. The move is scheduled for around January 12.
  2. Thank you! Yes, there is some texture to it. I really like this bowl. I bought it on Etsy from NicolePangasCeramics
  3. Sending good luck and thoughts your way. We hope to move out of the city when we near retirement. I truly dread the day we have to pack up all our junk.

  5. Thank you Clint & Bruce! I received a generous sample of Cella from @John Ruschmeyer so the comparison was made. Those Germans have more scent than the Italians when it comes to Marzipan.

Through the Mysteries of Cross Linking threads. Randy @BaylorGator has been contributing to the Limericks thread. Someone mentioned The Cookie Rebellion needed a chant or theme song. Through the combined efforts of our multiplexed brains some silly rhymes happened. Then Chris @SharptoothC brought them home!

  6. Is that a question? Looks like you did indeed :). Course I do the same kind of thing with my YO theme on Fridays.
  7. This current pathetic attempt to overthrow the cookie regime will easily be quelled. Once we force your children into the Junior Cookie League, and reward them for turning over the dissidents, all will be status quo again.

  8. The past two years the Cookie witches have invaded my store with their boxes of cookies and smiles. As a hard-nosed and seasoned salesman I am impervious to their charms and refused, I mean absolutely refused to buy (more than 8 packages of) their cookies. Through their help the proletariat will soon be back under the heels of the Cartel, Cookie Division. Even the memories of their cookies is enough to keep the most rebellious rebel in line.

  9. A quick programming note for tonight's shave. Since it is Yule, the Winter Solstice, my bride and I will be doing our celebrating tonight with a full dinner, some wine, and perhaps some other shenanigans. I'm sure I'll shave at some point but it will most likely be a quick pass with the VDH again. If I go quiet on you all later it doesn't mean I don't like you. It just means it's time to light the Yule log, eat, drink and be merry! A happy and blessed Yule to everyone!

  10. I'm sorry, John. There is no way either of those situations were easy.
  11. Thanks, Adam. Neither is easy, but in retrospect, I think finding someone almost, but not quite, dead and having to go through the hope that they may recover, the realization that they won't, and then the need to decide on shutting off lifesupport ... well, that really and truly sucks. Finding Dad definitely dead meant that all we had to do was arrange the funeral.

How are you and your employees doing with your own situation?
  12. Thanks Bruce! thumbsup.gif
  13. Your friends family are in my prayers, John. Certainly a tough thing to go through, especially around the holidays.

    Pre-shave: hot shower
Shave Cream: Barburys by Sibel Shaving Cream (applied by hand)
Razor: Gillette Fat Boy E-4 (setting #3)
    Blade: Wilkinson-Sword (4)
Post-shave: Assured WH, Nivea Sensitive Skin PS Balm, C.O. Bigelow Barber Cologne No 1585 (Elixir White)

This is the second time this week I've used the Barburys by Sibel shaving cream. I changed my tactic a little bit. If you're interested I wrote a separate review on this product and today's use of it at this thread: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/barburys-by-sibel-shaving-cream.58303/

I wasn't really planning to shave today... had several errands this morning and it's very cold today with about an inch of snow falling (14 F). But when I got home I decided what the heck... let's shave. I have product to use. :)

Today's setting on the Fat Boy was #3 and after 2 primary passes and some clean-up work on the neck I had a DFS.

I hope everyone is having a great day. I still have some catching up to do on the 30DC. But that'll have to wait a little longer... the dogs are demanding my attention. Oh... my bride is taking a little siesta so I just took a quick, easy photo. :p

  16. :thanks:
  17. They have another splash called Aspen that is alcohol based. I have one, and dropped a stupid amount of menthol crystals in it. Its really good stuff for when I have to have almost no scent for work. It has a great scent when you put it on, just a clean scent, but it doesn't stick around for more than 30 minutes.
  18. I'm glad to see someone else who obsesses over shipping. I feel normal now.

  19. Only 34% are with you, and I’m hoping others will see the light, break their shackles, and change their votes. This could be the month where the 30DC is truly free from... Wait, does Katie Perry come with the cookies? Not only is she cute but she has her own revolutionary cookie hat.... Er, I mean... stay strong people! Revoke the cookie vote!
  20. Oh I do. Fair amount of ching in this one. Was suppose to get here by the 26th. So much for that. Grrrrrrr.
