22 December 2017 This morning I'm stinkin' up the joint......in a GOOD way! Whipped up some delicious Tuscan Oud lather, glided through a two pass, minor touch-up BBS shave (do these 7 O'Clocks ever dull?) and splashed my self silly with "The Stallion". I'm feelin' & smellin' great and I'm takin' names. If you pass me in the hall, you'd better be saying "by your leave SIR!" Soap: RazoRock Tuscan Oud Brush: Omega 10086 Razor: RazoRock German 37 slant Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock (6) Aftershave: RazoRock "The Stallion"
Well that didn't work Not such a good shave today. I got a few weepers and some burn. I did not strop the blade and I felt the difference. The lather was slick and the shave seemed smooth until after. The balm helped and the weepers closed quickly. Prep: PAA Cube Soap: Van Yulay Clarity Brush: Brothers Bristles Silver Surfer Razor: Rockwell 6sR6 Blade: Rockwell AS: Van Yulay Ylang-Zu Balm
Hi, Steve. The razor is beautifully machined and the knurling on the handle is superb! Probably, one of the best handles I have every seen and felt on any razor. However, the shaves don't seem to be working for me. I don't know what it is. I find plate D, the most aggressive one this razor comes with, is the most suited to me, but I am still left with more stubble than I would prefer. The shaves are quite smooth, but I seem to get irritation in some areas that I wouldn't normally do. I may need more time with the razor, but it just doesn't seem to be working for me, unfortunately. It reminds me a lot like the Timeless .95, but not as efficient, in my opinion. Of course, this is all very subjective.

Terrific pic that! Tell me you shaved with Muddy Waters as background music 'cause you sure got a heap-o-blues there!

It’s a @Billyfergie - ism for the exceptionally fine Swedish stainless injector blades. Hard to find but worth it when you can get ‘em.

Friday, December 22 Old Spice~~Paladin~~Red Tip~~Polsilver SI (3)~~Shulton Old Spice AS The days are getting longer...thank goodness. Four discontinued soaps that rival, and more often surpass most of today's offerings: Old Spice, AOS Tallow, WSO and Vintage (tallow) Williams. Just look at those "stiff peaks" I nabbed an OS NOS refill puck the other day at a fair price. (Many sellers price-gouge these items) I will truly miss them when they are used up. EVERY wet shaver should try these soaps at least once. Have a great day!
EJ DE87/Scotch&Stowe blended razor Silver Star blade Plisson/L'Occitane brush Palmolive Mentholated SC Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol Great shave to end the week with. The Blended razor is very effective yet easy on my face. I like that. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks
Thank you for your kind words. I love Muddy Waters, but listening to music during my early morning shaves would wake up my family, unfortunately.
Which in turn, is a variation of the British expression, " the dogs bollocks", meaning, of a very high standard
December 22 Dorco Pace 3 disposable cartridge razor (2) Neutrogena Sensitive Skin shave cream Unrefined shea butter Used the Dorco again today. Smeared on the gel and scraped away. The razor feels light, But the shave was just right. Tomorrow the Weber’s in play.
I don't often turn to the version 2.0 Shake Sharp, prefering as I do to double load the version 1.0, but even without that ability the 2.0 is a great performer, fine two pass face and head shave with a mid 70s Platinum Plus. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
