1. Jim, your watch is a beauty and a classic. And although it is a dress watch, it is tough as nails. It reminds me of a watch enthusiast that has one like yours that he wears everyday for work. He gives it a spa treatment here:

The main thing is to always keep it clean...

My favorite watch, a 15 year work anniversary award. I got another watch at 20 years, but this is my favorite. It looks scratched up around the edge, but it's really not, I guess it's the lighting. The face is a very dark blue. I've had it 9 years now. Man, time flies.
  4. I give it the dish detergent/toothbrush treatment at the same time I do my weekly razor clean. Can't forget that way!

  5. just ordered my 2nd samsung smart watch...being a "watch" guy, having a watch that allows me to quickly see "I need to take this call" or "I need to respond to this message" and "ignore" while never having to get my phone is my dream...not to mention the health tracking and other apps...BUT, I still have my Diesel, Nixon, and Fossil watches.....Love seeing all your watches
  6. My Sundays Only watch

  9. Last post here was 2 years ago, I got a nice striped NATO Strap, from Crown & Buckle, for my Vintage Gucci...
    image.jpg

Now this year, I replaced it with a leather NATO from Crown & Buckle....this Strap knocks me out. I cannot recommend C&B enough...their quality you can spot at first glance and their service is lightening quick. Had it on my wrist 2 days after ordering...and thats with Christmas Mail !
    What do you guys think?

  11. A Seiko Kinetic. I’ve worn this daily for over 20 years. I have no need for another watch:)

  12. Like another shaving soap, razor or brush, anything after the first one isn’t about need...
And with that, my Beach/boat/vacation watch.

  13. 1970s (I think) UK Timex winder. The thing's never been serviced that I know of but it won't quit. So lightweight you don't know you're wearing it.

Everyone on this thread can sympathize, I think.

  19. I love it! Did you hear that Timex is releasing a new hand winding mechanical watch! It's pretty much an exact replica of the '60's Marlin. Price will be right at 2 Beans ($200)...

  20. For two hundred bucks? If you look around enough antique and resale shops you can find old Marlins that run.
