    Thursday's Shave
    zcws.gif

    Proraso Pre Shave
Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap
    Frank Shaving Badger
    Schick J Golden 500 (Shortified)
    Personna
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Lucky Tiger

I took the plunge and shortified my Schick 500. It was just too long for me. I may shortify it a bit more, but we will see how this goes.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick J Golden 500 with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  5. He's everything to me. I love him so much - what a guy he is even now. The staff looking after him call him "the baddest of the badasses" in a loving way!

  7. Good line up and picture Steve.
  8. If you want to gradually ease your way into menthol try the Black Ice. It's colder than Proraso Green but it's not a killer-cold soap like the Glacials. If you like it and you want to go a level higher then the regular MITA would be good for you. The Frozen Tundra is even colder. That one is around a 7.5 /10 on my menthol scale, so it's approaching the heavy-duty area. The Glacials can freeze the skata out of most guys. My brother-in-law suffered when he tried the Obsidian!

  10. Even on my menthol type after shaves, Aqua Velva, Lucky Tiger Aspen and Barbasol, I added menthol crystals to them. Also added a good amount to my Orange Menthol soap. I'd like to go for Stirling Wintergreen, but it's always out.

  11. My friend, that one is a typical Glacial soap. It starts off cold right away and the menthol effect becomes aggressive while the lather is on your face. The second pass feels considerably colder, yet you still feel the moisturizing and soothing from it. The first time I ever used a Glacial soap I felt like my face was going to fall off. I thought the Yeti Snot soap was frigid but not like this stuff. Even the Cryogen from Chiseled Face isn't quite as cold as today's Glacials.
