Douglas - I thought of you when I splashed the SHULTON liquid gold from the telescope decanter I have a few Shulton decanters - NOTHING compared to your mind blowing collection (BTW I loved the month you posted pics of all your decanters - it was hard to fight the Urge to go out hunting) ... I gotta Say Stirling SPice is a great Shultpn tribute - I have Cold SPices from PAA, I got the soap commander tribute and I got classy Barrster and Mann tribute - there all unique in there own way and great tributes. But the Stirling soap to me has the CLOSEST scent that lingers - damn I love stirling TALLOW - Rod is the man - end of story....
I got my forced hot air Oil Burner CRANKING and now is the time of Dry Skin!! well I shave at night and add the hazel, splash than balm every night - in the morning i use after shave balm as well. Mostly artisan made balms - last year i was not really using balm conistantly morning and night - but now for once I do not have dry skin!!! lets see if it keeps up - the ol oil burner is cranking away.
the SS General sure sold out fast - but its fine - I love the aluminum and I actually like the light handle, but I am curious -------
SOTD December 29 Cooper MonoBilt Astra SP RazoRock 'Son of Zeus' 30DCLE (26mm Frigate Class) With all of the MonoBilt love showing up on the forum I decided that I had to end the year and start the new year using my absolute favorite razor. Tossed in an Astra SP because I hadn't used one in a while and they are a damned good blade. Mmm Son of Zeus, based on Terre d’Hermès, has that deep earthy vetiver scent with orange and cedar undertones and was a fantastic choice for my shave this morning, performance was top notch as well! The MonoBilt did as the MonoBilt does and provided a 3 pass BBS with no touch up required. Have a great weekend and Happy New Year everyone!

Dad loves my pre-shave technique and he really enjoyed his shave just before. He said the Start cream felt so soothing and he says it smells terrific. He also enjoyed the splash of the Canada Cedar aftershave. For Sunday it'll be this setup for him: Two hot towels Omega 49 Ming Shi TTO/new Derby Florena SC Nip Man ASB Old Spice AS Splash I'd never shave my Dad with anything I myself don't love - he says the Derbys work very well for him. The Florena is another terrific cream which I wish was still available. It smells so nice, it's an awesome latherer, and is it ever a godsend for sensitive skin. (Dad is not a menthol lover like me!) The Nip Man however, feels cooling and comfortable and he likes it. He also likes a little Old Spice once in a while!
