    DECember 29 SOTD:

    PAA Atomic Rocket Brush
    Razorock Son of Zeus
    Gillette Toggle
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Fine L'Orange Noir

A late afternoon shave for me, as my wife and I are headed out for the evening. Last time I wore L'Orange Noir, she really liked it, so I thought I would go this route for today, which meant using the Son of Zeus soap. It all paired nicely, and the Toggle delivered another BBS. I am feeling smooth and smelling good, so I am ready for the evening. I hope everyone is having a great day.

  17. I do not shim blades in anything. I have really found no need too. I liked Igor on his highest setting. I made a couple of videos actually. I really enjoyed the shaves.

    Face and Head shave
Pre-shave: copious cups of black coffee & a hot shower
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Synthetic
Cream: TOBS Eton College Gentlemen's Shaving Cream
Razor: Gillette Fatboy E-4 (setting Neal)
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post-shave: Thayer's Lavender WH, Mont Blanc AS Balm, Mont Blanc edt

At Rick's @RyX suggestion the other day I loaded this E-4 Fatboy with a Feather blade, and cranked 'er up to setting Neal. I had a week's worth of head hair to cut down, and only two days worth of face whiskers.... I flipped my normal routine and went after the scalp shave first. The Feather blade sliced through 7 days of growth on my scalp without feeling any resistance at all. Other than a minor nick it was an uneventful head shave... except it was CCS!

I moved on to the face, again mindful not to touch the goatee, and I achieved BBS after two passes and some clean up on the neck. Besides the BBS shave, I had some blade rash on my neck but it cleared up an hour later. Overall, a very nice shave.

The TOBS Eton College scent is a favorite of mine. The Mont Blanc aftershave products were Christmas gifts from Mom. I can't explain anything about the fragrance other than I find it very pleasant and masculine. The Bride really likes it so big plus. ;)

This talk of revolution, cookie rebellions and world takeovers is very distressing. Let's focus our efforts on achieving world class shaves! Have a great weekend everyone!
