  5. No, a big goose egg and those giant crocodile tears. She used to love to chase the dog, who learned quickly to head for the table under pursuit.

  6. I would agree with your thoughts on that. The Techmatic. My Dad's next to last razor. He used one of those for a long time. That's why I now have two in my collection. One is in the plastic gift box and will remain so. The other is sealed on cardboard and it will be unsealed in a few days to celebrate what would have been his 90th birthday.

  8. As one of your enforcers, I feel obligated to mention, and I am sure that you have already considered this, but Brian’s act of sending the cookies personally may be considered some sort of power move.

    @mrchick needs closer observation.

  11. Saturday Decadence

I decided to use the AoS tallow on its own, the scent has long gone away but the performance is still my benchmark for all soaps and creams. My Dovo Bismarck 2 is both a show queen and shaves great. I was surprised I had a few small weepers, other than that an excellent shave.

    Irritation A Closeness A+ Smoothness A+ Sharpness A

    Razor: Dovo Bismarck 2
    Stop: Dry Gulch black latigo
    Brush: Yaqi silver tip
    Pre: Proraso
    Soap: AoS tallow
    AS: Spieck AS, L’Occitane ASB
    Scent: Creed Green Irish Tweed

  12. I'll take Door #1... if that's the 2 rack option. :D

130+ razors, huh? :smiley respect: Thanks, Fuzzy! Now, I'm back to feeling like I don't have near enough razors, yet. :bounce015:

I agree with Fuzzy... BULLY! :happy005:
  13. Decadent December!!!

    December 29 - Fatboy Friday!

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (6)
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (1)
    Pre-shave - Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Soap - Tabac
    Brush - 30DC LE
    Post - Alum

It's Fatboy Friday! I'm running late due to some later closes at the store this weekend. This week is one our busier ones in the year so we stay open until 9pm through the weekend. We do close Sunday at 6, though, for New Year's Eve. Anyway........

Grabbed the birth year Fatboy and loaded a Sharp Star. Set on 6 which is my butter zone on this razor and whipped up a fine Tabac lather with the LE brush. Added that on top of the Stirling pre-shave soap and got a fantastic feel. The oils in the pre-shave soap are helping with skin dryness right now as well. We are in the deep freeze here and the air is bone dry. I'm itching like I have fleas. We complain about the humidity in the summer here but I'm ready for a bit of it.

Two passes, touch up, no issues or problems and a near-BBS is in the house. I'll take it! Hope you have a great weekend. I know many will probably have plans for New Year's Eve. If you're already on your way there or getting ready, stay safe and let's enjoy putting another year to bed! Monday begins our 4th year on this thread as well. In the words of a great old band.....what a long strange trip it's been! But.....a very good one as well. More to come on that.

  14. Yes it is.
  15. We have him under surveillance. Don't think the word "coup" hasn't come up. Sending cookies as an individual act can be seen as trying to win favor for a possible change in power. Brian seems like a good guy. But you know us Cartel types, especially Russian wannabees. Paranoid, we are.
  16. @PickledNorthern

This is how people wake up with things like dead salmon and horse parts next to them.
  17. Cool set. I have a similar Burmashave set, but I think yours is older. I forgot to get the brush in the picture.

  18. Is that vintage or something new? Either way I want one! Looks like the Burma Shave mug I have. Mine is modern, though, as the Burma Shave logo is rubberized.

  19. We can all be thankful that it didn't escalate to the point of the Cartel having to release the nuclear option picture that was threatened. Nobody needs that. Nobody. :scared001:
  20. Another round...
