This puts my loyalties somewhat in question. It seems that we have several factions involved here: The Dark Side uses straights, and I am nearing Sith status in the art. And they have real cookies. Because of all the travel, I use more Feather blades in shavettes than anything, thus pay considerable tribute to the Yakuza, who is allied with the cartel, and all my limited DE use is with Russian steel.

Thank you, Clint! I do enjoy the Toggle. To me there is a different feel than say a FB. Both are great, but they have a slightly different feel, and I am not sure I don't prefer this one. It may just be the bit if extra weight, but the blade feels a bit stiffer to me as well.

It does look similar. I should get it today, so I'll try to snap a few pics at some point.

With all the recent love for the New LC, I figured I should pull mine out. I probably should have retired the Wilkie after yesterday's shave, though, as it was a bit tuggy. (It has been since binned.) Overall, a near BBS but a bit of noise from the Alum. Decadent enough for a snowy Saturday.

The VDH bowl is great, and honestly the Boar brush that comes with it is pretty good, too. I actually just gave the brush to my son as I couldn't find his other VDH Boar that is not nearly as nice.

If you can get them in the same room with Yakuza, I’d be amazed.

But I was just thinking that if Brian, Keith, Adam and I got serious, we could make a serious power play here.

I agree. The VDH boar gets a lot of bad press it does not really deserve. It loses a hair now and then....so do I. The VDH boar is still part of my signature shave. Love it.
